Premme was made for me. I felt like I finally had a seat at the table. I had clothes that fit me and were beautifully designed. A catalogue that touched on my deepest inspirations and guided me to a new path of self-discovery. Gone were the days where larger bodies sat by the sidelines and watched as smaller fats dressed in the latest popular fashions. WE could have nice things too! When’s the last time a clothing line did THIS? Each piece, in my collection, tells a story and has become an extension of my heart. Premme gave me hope and a new sense of self-worth. And now it’s gone. As the years turn and Premme becomes vintage, we can tell our children of that one time we watched as one of our own tried, succeeded and made a statement. Fashion doesn’t end at the privilege of 3X. Do better for us and we will throw our fat dollars at you. We showed up and showed out because the love was poured into this project. Never was there a moment of feeling left out of the conversation. They did the work, they asked for our feedback and it was glorious! I’ll miss it so. “… And so if the government could just get to the kitchen, rearrange some things, we could certainly party with the Haitians. And in conclusion may I please remind you it does not say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty. Thank you very much.” #premmeirl https://www.instagram.com/p/B0lpzNwhJnS/?igshid=1lw1790rf0pgl
