Strep throat and a double ear infection slowed me down quite a bit over the last week, but finally feeling back to normal...! Here’s a look at H’s snack boxes — my husband handled most of the food for me and somehow H escaped the week relatively healthy (I hesitate to say that without knocking on wood...) but poor M caught the strep throat too. Blah. H is still eating a kiwi almost every day plus some cheese and then usually some form of crackers/chips. I try to get a cucumber in there when I can too, just for the illusion that he eats vegetables... H’s Spanish teacher is sharing chips, salsa, and guacamole tomorrow with the kids so he didn’t need a big snack. Just sending some goldfish, a GFB, and a kiwi — all of which he will eat when he gets home if not at school. Snack packed for H tomorrow: Goldfish Quaker cereal bar A few dark choc raisins & Reese’s eggs left from Easter Kiwi Plus M and I surprised dad by making his lunch for tomorrow (can’t remember the last time we did that and w my luck, he’ll have a lunch mtg or something but it’s the thought that counts?). We have H’s Easter party tomorrow at school! I’m in charge of the egg hunt. It was harder than I anticipated to fill the eggs ... I didn’t want a ton of candy but I also didn’t want to buy a ton of “junk” so I hope that I landed somewhere in the middle. I expect the mini cars and homemade slime will be the biggest hits, but some eggs do have individually wrapped smashmallows, and others have stickers, bubbles, etc. The teacher suggested giving each child an egg carton so we made sure they got a fair number of eggs — a great idea!
