I don't buy kitchen gadgets often because I've only had small kitchens, so when I do buy one it's only after extensive research. Lemme tell ya the hype around the Instapot pressure cooker was legit. I mostly just use it for pressure cooking and slow cooking, so I can't attest to its other functions (I think new models even do air frying of all things) but that thing is a fucking workhorse.
You want cooked beans from dry in an hour without having to soak the beans? Done. Making a stew or a curry? No problem. Big chunk of cheap meat that you wanna make tender like it's been slow cooking for a day? Give it 30 minutes. I love it. The fact that it also slow cooks makes it a no-brainer too since a slow cooker is crucial to making meals for a week on easy mode.
That's all I wanted to say, I guess. I have other gadgets that I'm happy with but if I had to pick one thing to keep from my collection of kitchen gadgets its the Instapot
