Pride Spell/Incantation
I came up with this spell to honour and remember the members of the LGBTQ+ community that we’ve lost in the past year. Today is the anniversary of the Pulse Shooting, and there are still so many who suffer. I personally refuse to stay quiet about who I am, but there are people who need to. Who can’t speak up. This is for you. For the ones we’ve lost. For the ones we still have with us. I stand with you.
Ingredients: -Yourself -A candle of any color
Light the candle and recite this incantation:
I light this candle for those we have lost Those who are suffering Those who are still with us
May you find peace May you find hope And may you always find safety
You will not be forgotten You will not be pushed aside You will not be disregarded
For those we have lost You live on inside us In our hearts In our thoughts
For those suffering We are here for you From afar From nearby
For those still with us We stand strong For those who cannot For those we miss
This candle burns bright As bright as my pride
I am here I am proud I stand with my brothers and sisters And I will fight for our safety and acceptance
Allow the candle to burn for as long as you feel needed, then blow it out.
