Logically, does this mean straight allies get shields to help protect their friends and their friends’ pride?

Oh! That’s a sweet idea! I like it. Makes sense in context too, since the concept is symbolic pride swords for non-cis and non-het identities and thusly it would be inappropriate to assign cis-het allies a sword in that context, but a shield is a nice solution.

Additionally, my friends and I joked about assigning a “Heterosexual Flag” blade for any unpleasant straight folk that got in my face about not getting a sword (happily if anyone did, I didn’t see it with my overwhelmed notifications), and there’s an answer for that too.

Heterosexual Asshole Flag

The “M48 Cyclone Fixed Blade Knife”, an aggressively phallic and hyper-masculine piece of blade design, it largely serves no useful purpose. Its over-designed nature renders it ineffective for either slashing or stabbing use. The silhouette has been compared to that of ”the world's worst dildo”. The most useful aspect of it is the unattractive black epoxy powder coating that should prevent water damage and rust from taking hold in the uselessly deep grooves of the blade. If it worked as an attachment, one might be able to fashion it into the world’s largest drill bit, but as it is, the best usage I can propose is an absurdly expensive tent stake.
