Prightcholia: A gender related to the Bon Jovi songs The Price of Love and The Hardest Part Is The Night, melancholy, dulled-out cool colors, running mascara and/or eyeliner, saudade, staying up late to avoid having to stop distracting oneself and having to face one’s emotions, charcoal grey eyeliner, and late nights. It’s related to dark, abandoned city streets with occasional taxies passing by and crumpled posters rolling down the sidewalks, which are covered with discarded, sometimes broken, beer bottles, cigarette butts, and crumpled pieces of paper with messily written phone numbers on them.
It’s also related to the fear that if you faced your emotions, they would crush you/eat you alive, that no one will ever truly love you, and that you’ll die surrounded by people putting on a front and not anyone who actually cares about you.
The name comes from a mix of pri from price, ight from night, chol(ia) from melancholia, and ia from saudania
Originally made this flag for another term, decided it didn’t fit the way I wanted it to and coined this term to use it for, instead
Just a heads up, I’ve queued a few other terms that have almost identical definitions to this, just without the relation to one thing or the other. Figured I should put this out now, just to clarify that it’s not a mistake, I just can’t decide how I like this definition best, so I decided to post all the versions I was caught between.
