What could Aaravos be planning in the future? He doesn't try things more than once. Then again I do have a theory.
He's already inverted the Sun Nexus and the Moon Nexus: with the Sun Nexus he corrupted the Sun Orb, casting the Sun elf homeland into darkness and a plague-like sickness that corrupts anyone into monsters. That's the opposite of what Sun magic is about: Healing, fire and light.
With the Moon nexus inverted: all the restless dead came into the living world and wrecked havoc. This is the opposite of the Moon magic, illusion and death, they are undead and made flesh.
What if Aaravos continues in inverting the Nexus of each magic? Each focal point of magic, instead of harmonizing the magic within the world, they become points of chaos and make them erratic.
What are the other Nexus points? How could they be inverted?
Sky: Storm Spire or somewhere in the Sky Elf capitol maybe
Inversion: Sky magic is about agency, flight, breath and storms.
He would probably create a deadly storm, that robs breath, chills the bones, and if struck by the lightning it would cause a slow painful spread of crackling pain that immobilizes the victim, eventually killing them.
Earth: Rex Ignius' lair (confirmed by creators)
Inversion: Earth magic is about the ground beneath our feet, and the life around around us, it's about connection.
I'm thinking he'd make the nexus erupt, but instead of making fertile earth, the ash would choke the ground, removing it's life. The plants would die, the soil would be barren, the rocks would become brittle, but still hard and jagged like bone. It probably wouldn't kill anyone who breathed it in, but it might make their minds hazy, unaware of anyone or anything happening around them.
Ocean: ??? I'm thinking maybe the pinnicle but that doesn't make sense. It's probably in the middle of the ocean.
Ocean is about the tide and water, about releasing control.
I first thought about dead water like in young justice, but for this is would make more sense to make an endless storm that would churn the waves, eventually the water would envelop the land. Basically we would need control in order to live, which we could not have.
Star: The Starscraper perhaps
Inversion: Star magic is about order, space, and divination.
In the end goal, the stars would fall, the order would collapse. First though, I think he'd aim to collapse the power of divination, fold time and space in on itself. It'd probably be easier to fold time, where past and future collide into the present.
Those are just my theories, he could instead aim for something not even in this ballpark.
