Okay this is probably a long-shot but did anybody read chilling effect and prime deceptions by valerie valdes and actually enjoy them? Just me???

I am so excited to add this to my 'to read' pile. It sounds like a lot of fun... space, alien overlords, sarcastic humor. Right. Up. My. Alley.  Stay tuned for a review coming soon.

Anyone have recommendations for a books similar to 'Chilling Effect?'

The one Single complaint I had about the first book in this series - Chilling Effect - was that the cover depicted and noted the presence of Psychic Cats and yet the story itself barely involved them.

But Fear Not! For this sequel - Prime Deceptions - not only brings back the psychic cats but they are Involved! In The Plot! All my prayers were answered by Valerie Valdes. I have therefore suitably included more cat photos with this book. I don't think my model was as overly pleased with the book as I was, but still posed ~somewhat~ helpfully. If you like a good space romp full of interesting aliens, sass in Spanish, and more surprises than you can swing a cat at (note: don't swing cats, psychic or otherwise) then this series is definitely for you.

I checked out Chilling Effect by Valerie Valdes from the library in like September. I am currently reading Fault Tolerance and I have Prime Deceptions.

Part of me thinks I should buy Chilling Effect and reread it. I also just want to own the book because I have the 2nd and 3rd book and it makes sense to have the first book.

CanNOT believe that on top of already creating robot-Minions the author just made space Pokémon canon 😅
