it’s finally here! this has been drafted for way too long! a brand new character in amun’s saga! °✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧°

well, not brand new, but this is mikha’el’s big move from a monster high OC to part of the independent story since a lot of people on the discord wanted to see more of him! he’s arrogant, he’s smug, beth and angelo might team up to do away with him - but could he become an ally in the end? let’s see!

I know you said he's an asshole through and through but somehow I still find myself living a Prince Midas appreciation life. Is there anything else you wanna say about him? That's an incredibly vague question, I know. I just find myself intrigued by the character, even if he does have a heart of garbage. Lol I think all your OCs are awesome, btw. Amun is such a love and he and Angelo are so cute together! I'm not even into Monster High but I might get into it now that your OCs have won me over.

unlike amun, mikha’el (or michael) doesn’t exist too well on his own outside MH, but that’s fine for now! i haven’t developed him much lately because of focusing primarily on amun and angelo, but he’s still kicking around the place being an asshole and trying to hide that he doesn’t actually have the ‘golden touch’ he threatens people with.

that’s a seriously vulnerable spot for him, the midas bloodline being watered-down enough that the curse has lost its full effect by michael’s generation. the royal family have maintained wealth, power and authority over the centuries through the dangerous nature of the golden touch making it practically impossible to dethrone them, and michael’s lack of it makes him a weak link (which is a big part of what gets him sent away to america while his country is in political unrest; he’s a huge liability). 

he goes to great lengths to hide the weakened curse and wildly overcompensates by talking about his powers A WHOLE LOT, counting on no one being brave enough to actually touch him and discover the truth. he keeps everyone at arm’s length this way in order to protect himself, but being the only child of a royal family raised in obnoxious luxury he genuinely does consider himself above everyone else, and isn’t looking to make friends with the common people no matter how hard anyone tries. 

for the sake of loving my ocs interacting michael is grudgingly-and-deniably fond of amun (see the link further up the post), not least because they’re both royalty, but he’d be extremely rude to angelo and threaten him with everything under the sun. amun clearly has horrible taste in companions and he needs michael’s help.

Let's talk about the Midas Touch:

Amias is technically an alchemist if we want to clarify his magic. He can turn objects, people, and animals into gold and he can manipulate thay gold. He can even magically turn inanimate objects into gold without needing to touch them, he simply needs to look at them and he can manipulate them. So when enemies fire bullets at him, he just looks at them and raises an eyebrow and they pause midair before slowly turning to gold and then he just uses them against him. Not to mention that he can manipulate his body into weapons, like he can turn his arm into a sharp golden blade (WHICH I SHOULD TALK ABOUT MORE BECAUSE IT'S HOT) but also, he just casually can turn something into gold and reshape it. Like if he doesn't like the style of a golden necklace, he can manipulate it and turn it into a style he likes.

So yeah, Amias can do magic related to metals so he technically is an alchemist and can also restore damaged gold and find gold.

ALSO HE MAKES GOLDEN GOLEMNS OR HE CAN TURN PEOPLE HE TURNED INTO STATUES AS GOLEMNS UNDER HIS CONTROL.
