One of the questions I keep seeing about Princess time™️ after stuff about the raccoons is stuff about the costumes and yeah…

Dressing up like a princess helps me clean. And yes, it might help you clean as well.

As someone asked about this morning, yes, I do have a degree in fashion design and work as a professional theatrical costume designer.

There are legitimate studies showing that the way you dress impacts the way you work. Your clothing has a direct correlation with your mood and success of the task at hand. Generally, this fashion theory is used to discuss how women perform and are perceived in typically male dominated business careers. HOWEVER, you can also back this theory and use it to make yourself do chores. Like I do.

Giving yourself allocated Princess Time is actually so important. Get a nice robe and lounge on the sofa with a glass of wine. Do some needlepoint embroidery. Make that expensive bougie loose leaf tea in your favorite cup. Open your windows and converse with local wildlife. Let the squirrels into your house.
