Reaching out to my intaglio printmaking friends for some troubleshooting... I have brand new felts from Takach (a sizing catcher and two pushers—per what Crown Point Press uses), all 100% wool and woven. I have washed the blankets all together in a large commercial front-loading washing machine with no soap, tumble-dried on air fluff, and finished the drying process laid out flat. Detail of the collaboration that @clawhammerpress and I knocked out a few weeks back. He's now sleeping sound in Halifax and I'm settled in at my gate in Seattle awaiting a red eye flight; tomorrow we meet @gaspereaupress and soon enough will all three (and so many more) have our sleeves rolled up and our eyes squinted at type, ink, paper.
