Can y’all recommend any fics where Ian visits Mickey in prison so Mick doesn’t escape and go to Mexico?

Furlough Mickey is doing full time in prison. Ian and Svetlana pull a scam to legally get him out for 24 hours. 

The Sun, Chasing the Moon Post S6 canon divergent. Ian waits for Mickey.

sideways S6/7 fix it. Ian attempts to make amends. Mickey tries to stay strong.

Together, Apart S6 fix it after the prison scene. Ian isn’t ready to give up on Mickey, and he hopes Mickey’s not ready to give up on Yev.

Ok if you had false hope at chapter 28 then realized it was a oops, it’s now a few hours later and the real chapter 29 is updated .

Life is about to start getting ready to live together as Mickeys release date comes closer.

Do you know of any fics that cover Mickey’s prison escape? I am fascinated by the idea of homme fatale Mickey seducing a lady prison guard in service of reuniting with his true love.

Oh, that’s a great ask, I would love to read more about it!

Inside Secure Walls Covers Mickey’s time in prison and shows a lady prison guard falling for him, but it’s mostly unintentional from Mickey’s side.

That Milkovich Reputation Also covers Mickey’s prison time, it plays out a bit differently than that though.

Other than that, nothing that comes to mind. Please, someone write it! ^^

Hi! I’m looking for a fic that I read before and now can’t find. It’s where Mickey is in prison so Ian marries Svetlana because of immigration (I think). Mickey and I are still together.

Sounds like What I Do, but Ian and Mickey aren’t together at the beginning though. Lemme know if it’s not it!

What I Do Svetlana is about to get deported, she asks for help from the one person that will do anything to keep Yevgeny close to Mickey. Anything so that Mickey doesn't lose anymore than what he already has. This is a tale about friendship and love. And how we manage to make it back from the hell we built ourselves.

The only reason I haven’t posted this fic before is purely because I thought I had in the past. It’s the prime example of how to do a fix it fic. Ian and Mickey are both written so perfectly and the author explains their point of view over their breakup so well. Even Lip is written in a way that I feel portrays him more accurately than the majority of the fandom (I can’t help it villianizing Lip or Fiona is such a pet peeve of mine). A couple of scenes parallel to scenes from the show in just a way that makes me weak. It’s a literal shame that I have yet to tell my followers how good this fic is, but now is actually a perfect time because a line in this story is so perfect for what the fandom is about to go through the next few weeks. No spoilers but you’ll see it in chapter 3!

Not only does this author capture the emotions and mood perfectly between Ian and Mickey, they just are great at setting the tone in the story in general. I really have felt for the characters and been drawn in. Mickey’s life is as rough as if normally is but it is exploring the issues that this would cause him in more detail than the show has so far. Despite being in completely different roles in a prison, Mickey and Ian still manage to have such a sweet and shy (currently) friendship and budding relationship. Also, as far as I can tell this is blue_newman’s first fic and going into that without knowing that I would have thought they were a veteran.
