Derek Hale has been a prisoner to the hunters since they burned his family alive. But now someone has come to save him: skinny, defenseless Stiles--147 lbs of skin and fragile bones. Turns out, sarcasm isn't his only weapon.

I have had this fixc open in a tab on my browser for ages, and it isnt HUGELY long, but i kept prioritising under 10k fics or reading other longer fics by authors i already knew i loved.

But I finally read this and its really good. Derek is being held prisoner by a bunch of hunters who capture weres and magic users. the weres they treat like shit, but the magic users they convince through not so nie means to work for them.

Derek is kept away from the other weres coz kate the bitch like to torture him. Stiles is captured and has his magic drained. they put him in the same prison as derek (though different cells) temporarily till his magic grows back. they become friends. :D

this was a really good fic. good world building. some cool original characters. definately worth the read!

Tw au: Derek becomes the town pariah after the fire as an outcast. He’s kept prisoner by the station as they can’t trust a monster like him living free. Some of the towns people think the fire was a blessing for revealing the Hales for what they were and how to kill them. Even as Derek points out they never did anything to anyone only to be ignored and paraded around as a reminder of the hidden enemy that needs to be captured or killed. 

It isn’t until the new sheriff is elected that fellow citizens who are against how the town has been run begin to speak out more actively. With a string of incidents some suspect either Derek has somehow gotten out and is committing murders or he managed to call more of his kind to attack the town. 

Mayor Argent sets about finishing what his daughter started as maulings continue to get worse with no survivors.
