Have you encountered the "don't offend your allies" shit? I'm feeling salty because a trans "ally" gave me shit for simply saying, "Your experience changing your last name due to marriage is very different from a trans name change" and they were like, "I'm relating to you, you're pushing allies away and invalidating my feelings" and I'm just so angry because a trans friend stepped in and was supporting her and I hate the whole "protect the ally bullshit."
I spit the word “ally” out of my mouth as if I’m spitting out a live cockroach for this very reason. Be good to your Allies, don’t alienate Allies, grovel for your Allies... I wanna beat the shit out of every self-proclaimed Ally I’ve ever met.
I was happy to see NaturallyCurly.com speak on this. There was a lot of positive commentary but then there were also these white women. Sigh. I'm going to need my fellow white curly haired ladies to just STFU and LISTEN/LEARN about cultural appropriation. For the love of god.

Here’s something from my own life. I’m purple. Black is an innocent bystander. Blue/OP is my guy friend. Adam is his roommate I don’t know beyond saying hi once and Sean is a SUPER DOUCHE who is friends with some of my friends, always tries to stir shit and I realized I hate him once he added me and started trolling every post I made about abortion access or racism before I deleted his ass. (He’s probably somewhere here on Tumblr with an edgelord kinda name.)
But my hatred for Sean aside, I think the best part is that Adam makes all these comments and then claims in the final reply to me to be a guy *totally* down for feminism.
I'd never go to the ghetto (aka west philadelphia) for some cheap drinks. I don't mind a 10 drink because I feel safe...y'know?

Imagine seeing videos and social media posts where the take can either be summarized as “My vacation has been ruined due to the hurricane and I can’t get a refund” or “That’s what you tw for voting Republican”.
I live in Georgia in an area that was supposed to get the heavy winds and rains from Helene. But we still had a significant amount of damage. I’m talking we had a boil water advisory( that we didn’t get the alert for) due to the pumping stations losing power and the back up generators not kicking in due to damage…. Losing power, internet and cell service and being without it for nearly a week. So basically being in the dark for days, either metaphorically or literally. But when I managed to get into town to get internet to message my boss and coworkers an update, that’s what I see.
People complaining that the mountain lodge they were renting cancelled and wouldn’t ( in reality couldn’t because they don’t have internet or a strong enough connection to do much of anything outside of calls) refund them.
People stating that it’s our fault that our current situation is due to the fact that enough people voted for a Republican because they don’t now how population destiny works and how it plays into most elections. Also do you know how hard it is to evacuate on such notice. Like you have to find lodging that won’t jack up the prices and can accommodate for kids, disabilities, and pets. You have to hope and pray you don’t get stuck in traffic because everyone had the same idea. Hope and pray that the gas stations have not only enough gas for everyone but won’t be price gouging. Praying that you have a home to come back to.
Are there Republicans that would rather tongue kiss a rattlesnake while sitting naked on a hot grill than actually pass legislation that help with natural disaster relief because they don’t agree with whatever minuscule detail they want to argue? Yes. Does that mean the people from their states should suffer? No.
