I don't know what more Exclusionists want from people who they want to exclude from the Queer community. It seems like they're never happy with anything and will get even more pissy and stubborn when someone tries to explain to them why excluding people and exclusionary rhetoric is wrong. The only people that should be excluded from the community are MAPs and cishet people who think they should have a spot in the community because they claim to be allies. Not Asexuals, Aromantics, Pansexuals, and Bi Lesbians. As long as it isn't pedophiles and cishets that want special treatment for simply saying "queerphobia bad," it shouldn't matter what labels people use. Stop projecting your internalized Queerphobia onto others, get off the internet, and consider talking to someone who will help you deconstruct your internalized Queerphobia. You're going to end up becoming a TERF.

Wanting to exclude labels from the Queer community outside of LGBT gives of "there's only two genders" vibes. Which makes sense as to why Exclusionist rhetoric is often a pipeline into TERF, Gender Critical, Transmedicalist, and Alt Right rhetoric.

Oh my god can people stop treating different orientations like a monolith

Yes, if people from a certain orientation are saying something is harmful to them, we should listen to what they have to say

No, that does not mean everyone of a certain orientation believes the same things or that they are automatically right about what is or isn't harmful

Being a part of a minority doesn't make you incapable of being wrong!

The important thing is the explanation of WHY it's harmful

For instance it's harmful to call gay people the f slur because it adds to the stigma around our existences and reinforces centuries of oppression towards gay people

But there's a lot of things people say that are harmful that aren't too! The reasoning for those kind of things is usually along the lines of "it makes x community look bad" or "it makes our oppressors think it's okay to hurt us", which aren't good reasoning because it's not minorities jobs to be palatable to their oppressors, it isn't our job to water down our identities for their comfort, and blaming other lgbtq+ people for our oppressors violence and hatred because some of us existed the wrong way and they used it to justify hurting us is victim blaming! A bigots bigotry will always be their own fault, not people in the groups they use as a scapegoat (which believe it or not, it is heavily damaging to be used as a scapegoat), and not the people they are justifying hurting.

professor jordan b. peterson on different types of political correctness and on social justice warriors vs. free speech

i started to watch JBPs lectures in the wake of the election and the topicality and importance of this highly explosive political subject immediately caught my interest. 

this is so important for everyone who wants to live a good, fulfilled, ethical life in a way that reflects their values in thought and action and especially for people who want to bring something good into this world. lets not forget that the road to hell is - ever so often - paved with good intentions. being pro equality, tolerance, inclusion and compassion MUST also mean to  be pro free speech, pro open and respectful discussion and PRO respecting and acknowledgng values and opinions outside of your “bubble” open disourse ist the only way we can learn and evolve as individuals and as a society.
