I am a PROUD k pop demon hunters fan. I have two kpdh shirts and a bumper sticker on the back of my car. My best friend is a k pop demon hunters HATER who describes it as the film equivalent of labubus and also regularly calls it k pop demon mid.

And yet she respects the fact I love the movie and is compassionate and an active and understanding listener when i actually want to talk about what I like about it. And I do the same when she wants to criticize what she dislikes about it. after all, though I may love the movie, I completely understand it is very much a trend and very much has its flaws.

Although we have opinions on the complete opposite spectrum of things, we can still see stuff from one another’s perspectives and respect that while still maintaining our own personal opinions. It’s crazy that that’s more than can be said for the kpdh fandom on twitter. Yikes.

Hi everyone! My apologies for putting this in ya’ll’s tags—if you have no interest in debate or are not going to be respectful, just scroll on by! ^^

I’ve honestly just recently discovered the huge, growing rift of hatred and misunderstanding between Polytrix and Rujinu shippers, and to be completely honest I was sort of taken aback.

I thought Rumi and Jinu’s dynamic in the movie was adorable! Yes, there are some things they need to work through (there was no power imbalance, though—they both used one another, and yes Jinu lied to her, but she’s tried to kill him about like 10 times by now). It didn’t seem forced to me at all, only perhaps a little rushed, but we know they had to cut certain parts out of the movie in order to shorten it, so I can forgive that.

That being said, I’m not an avid Polytrix shipper, but I do enjoy the idea of it. I love seeing art and fics of them together romantically, I think it’s so cute! It saddens me quite a bit to see the toxicity growing around it.

I absolutely adore respectful debate and hearing everyone’s takes and the reasoning behind them. Especially if it’s something that’s considered “not that deep”—all discussion is valuable, as long as you aren’t letting something that’s inconsequential to you irl affect you irl!

So, anyone and everyone with any opinion on the topic at all—feel free to tell me all about it, and we can discuss! Only thing I won’t tolerate is mean-spirited comments directed towards anyone else specifically. I don’t want to delete anything, but I will if I must.
