When one of your biggest writing inspirations and idols compares your writing style to Neil Gaiman and George R. R. Martin... *dies.*
@pro-derp
Drew a Dragon!Lance, inspired by Mr. Fahrenheit by by warshach. One of the weirdest/best Klance fics I’ve ever read
every time i see that @pro-derp has posted an update or new fic, my mood lifts. their writing has so much character and so many great moments. every fic is iconic.
hi! so i was wondering, have you ever read gravity by warschach (@pro-derp) or any of warschach's works at all? i feel like you'd like them :)
OH. YES.
@pro-derp I’m going to brag about you over here even though I read the latest chapter to your wonderful fic Gravity and left a comment like only an hour or two ago…
Yes, Anon, I love Warschach’s work.
They happen to have one of my favorite writing styles from any author on AO3, and those lovely descriptions in each work happen to evoke so many wonderful conflicting emotions at once. Also, dialogue? En pointe. It’s amazing. Like indulging in an eclair or something.
Honestly one of the best writers I’ve come across on AO3, period, and that is NOT something I say lightly. Wonderful characterization, the perfect mix between funny and sweet and also erotic without being too much (I’m not into reading super explicit works but with Warschach’s writing it never seems off at all? It always seems to fit? Kind of amazes me), and just downright fun.
They write for several ships, I can see, but since I only read BakuDeku stuff unless someone recommends something, all of their works are great. A great BNHA writer, fo sho.
I love, love, LOVE their work. My favorites – in order – from Warschach are Gravity (this one is definitely my favorite by them), Chewed Up and Mechanical Bull.
Guys. Guys. Guys.
BNHA lovers.
BakuDeku readers/writers.
ALL OF YOU.
If you somehow have not read from Warschach yet… what the heck are you doing with your life? You MUST read their works. Highly recommend. All of the kudos. Leave all the comments. Bookmark all the stories.
Seriously. Just. Why are you still reading this? Go do it. Go do it NOW.
(Also Gravity just got updated and this story is wonderfullllllll so… you should check that out right now while it’s on the top of the BakuDeku dash on AO3… just saying…)
Thanks for bringing them up, Anon. :)
*good writer introducing me to another good writer* Sorcery!!!! >:O (about warschach)
W A R S C H A C H.
Is amazing.
‘Nuff said.
Will scream about her unique talents to the heavens and back, and however long it takes for her to realize how incredible she is.
This is thrilling. :D
@pro-derp
For the Fic Writer Meme - 38) Please talk about a review that made your day. ♥
This is an extremely difficult one. And that’s because I don’t think I can just pick… one review that makes my day. Sometimes reading thoughts on a fic can make my entire week or month, depending. And leaving comments on fics as well is worthwhile, especially if it encourages the writer to keep pursuing what they want to do and spread their talent even further.
Anyway. I guess today, in particular, was a pretty intense one. At one point I opened my email to check notifications for work-related shenanigans, when I saw a review for Before Midnight, written by @pro-derp (love you Warschach), that just completely turned over my expectations of the upcoming month.
Reading these kind words from a writer I absolutely adore and admire so much makes you feel so humbled and honored, you know? You can’t help but just, jump for joy and gratitude when a writer you admire and look up to so heavily reads and comments on your work. It brings an entirely new scope into things.
The fandom community is very blessed to have writers like her and the ability to communicate with people who have such immense talent. But yeah, was difficult not to completely melt under that spectacular comment on Before Midnight that meant so much to me. So thanks, War.
Any comment makes my day, though. There are a few that are definitely special though, and that I hold near and dear to my heart. Some of them are even saved (I know that in high school I liked to keep them under tabs), but those are a little old. Wanted to reference a newer one since comments just echo so much weight.
So yeah! Thanks for the ask, @captain-spicypants. You’re great, as usual.
