the amount of anti-psychiatrist propaganda in the mad pride tag pisses me off so much as an aspiring psychiatrist who’s had an amazing, thoughtful, and genuine psychiatrist for over 3 years now.

I understand there’s a lot of abusive psychs, but it’s a bit ridiculous and immature to just generalize them because of the few rotten apples. all 4+ psychiatrists that I’ve met and have treated me were amazing, more than competent at worst.

I fucking hate y’all and there’s no pushing me to your side.

Yes, psychology and psychiatry have their flaws, and dark histories, but you people act like everyone involved in the professions are puppy murderers. Besides, if they’re so bad, what do you reckon we replace them with? Assuming you don’t want people to rawdog their mental illnesses.
