Unvaccinated Acquaintances: Yeah, I'm not a big believer in vaccines. I just don't believe in them. These things aren't that big of a deal, and I think it's crazy that vaccines are being pushed so hard. Also Unvaccinated Acquaintances: So anyway, so far I've had problems with these things which just happen to have a vaccine. It was so frustrating and a little scary. Eh, nothing you can do about it, I suppose.
PSA: Why Anti-Vaxxers are stupid
I'll prove it to you.
1. "Do your research! If you search up why vaxxes are bad you'll get facts!"
Yeah, and if you do vice-versa then you'll get true facts.
2. "Read the ingredients! It's all poison!"
Read the dosage, dumbass. If you eat 100 apples you'll die. Duhh. But apples are healthy! So by your logic, apples are bad for us. Nothing is really poison, the dosage is what murders us to death.
3. "It's just to get more money! Doctors are greedy!"
Show me proof. Why would doctors not want you to live? That means no more money for them.
4. "Essential Oils though! They work 100%!"
Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's healthy. The one thing we agree on is that diseases are bad. But diseases are natural! So again, by your logic, diseases are good for us. Just because it's natural does not mean it's good for us.
5. "But it has the disease in it! It'll kill you!"
It's an extremely sedated disease, meaning it will cause no harm. It's just so your immune system can recognize it.
6. "But our immune system is here for a reason!"
Yeah, doesn't mean it's 100% works. It isn't the most powerful thing in the universe cause it's natural.
7. "People survived without vaccines for thousands of years!"
Yeah, but they always had some sort of medicine to help them. And I'm PRETTY SURE that the population has increased after vaccines.
8. "But I did my research! All the websites say that it's unhealthy!"
Google isn't a medical college. Not everything on there is true. Plus, they aren't even doctors, nor people who have had a medical degree, most of the time. Any person with some sort of PhD in medicine can tell you vaccines are good.
9. "But they cause autism and they vaxx-damage our kids!"
Again, unreliable sources. There is ABSOLUTELY NO FACTUAL EVIDENCE that vaccines cause autism. People only thought that because of the rising rate if ASD, coincidences and such. Vaxx-damage does not exist. Just coincidences and the works.
10. "But my child is way more healthy than the vaxxed children!"
Ahhhh the icing on the cake. This is the easiest one to explain, actually. Either your r/vaxxhappened-ing us, the other kid may have a condition making them more prone to diseases, or your kid is in a better, less disease ridden part of town.
And this is why I think Anti-Vaxxers are extremely stupid. But, I actually hate them. Why?
Because they are a threat to their children, other people's children, they try to indoctrinate the youths and elders, and their kids may choose not to vaccinate their kids, and indoctrinate more kids and parents, and that may actually threaten the next generation.
This has been a Public Service Announcement on why Anti-Vaxxers are stupid and why you shouldn't become one, avoid them, or stop being one.
The Gates Foundation said it will commit $1.6 billion over the next five years to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, after the U.S. announced it wo
my parent thinks they know vaccine injury because that have some educated friends I've never met with PHDs that said so. What's really fucking annoying me, other than attempting to manipulate me multiple times, is that they didn't share who these people are or what their credentials were. Just that, they were more informed than me because somebody told them they were good to teach about whatever they learned. why gatekeep the facts then? Why keep it all to yourself handsome? Or are you afraid I'm going to get my hand on a study and find a fucking whole lot of fraud like I have been doing every other fucking tome they give me a little fun fact.
you dont feel like having your beliefs challenged? thats why you dont research other than "100 facts on why vaccines cause brain injury."
4:30 AM:
Me: I think I can go back to sleep
My brain: I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT A CERTAIN PERSON WHO REFUSES TO VACCINATE THEIR CHILDREN, LET'S EXAMINE THIS FROM A SCIENTIFIC VIEWPOINT FIRST
Me: I just want to sleep
My brain: AND ANOTHER THING!
Okay, tumblr, I need your help!
I have to write an op-ed on vaccinations. Please note, I am pro-vaccinations in this situation (and really, all situations if I can be candid). Can someone please help me in finding some information? I have already looked at the World Health Organization, which is an excellent resource, and I have another in mind.
Also, if you're anti-vaccinations, please tell me why (you can either leave it here, or in my ask box!).
Please and thank you. It would be greatly appreciated.
Unsure about vaccines? The last time there was this much measles in America was ’94
new report in the New England Journal of Medicine contains alarming news: There have been more reported cases of measles this year in America than in any year in the past two decades.
In 2014, there have already been almost 600 cases of measles. The closest we came to that number since 1994 was in 1996, when there were a little over 500 cases; from 1997 to 2013, the number broke 200 only once. Despite the fact that the disease was declared "eliminated" in the U.S. in 2000, we're seeing a dramatic increase in the number of cases.
