AND IM RIGHT!!
participating in "girl mom/dad" and "boy mom/dad" culture is reinforcing gender norms into your daily life. its not cute. its not funny. its being used to make misogyny and sexism digestible.
as much as i pass as a trans man, that doesnt stop the fear of sitting down to pee when other cis men are in the bathroom. The amount of trans vestigating that goes on and the hostility trans people face in my area makes it really hard to do this in confidence. its that kind of fear where no matter how badly i need to go, i cant get my body to relax enough to go. i get stuck in bathrooms because of this. it is absurd to me that theres people genuinely believing that trans men threat to the community when i know plenty of trans men that refuse to pee in public lest there be gender neutral bathrooms for the same exact reasons.
ESPECIALLY
if you are trans, unironically believing trans men should die or remain silent in and out of the community, you are part of the problem.
This is the sort of argument people use before they start making "Bomb that kills all transmascs" jokes.
Because transmascs and trans men are "less oppressed" according to you, therefore, is okay for you to treat them like your personal punching bag.
Trans men are supposed to find it funny when you make posts about how you want them to get murdered, assaulted, detransition because YOU think they are "less oppressed".
But if any trans man made a "joke" about how all transfems should be killed, everyone would condemn it.
That's not called "punching up". That's called hypocrisy.
this is literally writing fan fiction about gettingontopic. the screenshot specifically cuts off the tags where he is responding to someone questioning what laws have to do with oppression. its a response post. no where on this blog did he punch a trans man down. no where on this blog did he even imply he was a terf supporter.
you are getting pissed off at a concept of a person you dont know that you MADE UP. responding to it twice without double checking what youre even responding to is embarrassing. in what world is a trans poc user defining oppression (in frustration, mind you, bc people are using the wrong definition against him) is the same as making bombing jokes?
(thats rhetorical, btw)
A reminder for those who need it
some folks really need to start mastering the art of letting a motherfucker know
hey so the marker "male" in "transgender male" on my medical papers doesnt mean they treat me like a man, btw. just in case you didn't know. just in case you thought having a vagina never affected in the medical system after social transition. just thought youd like to know. many many many health care professionals dont see me as a mine just because my chart says i "prefer" to be referred to that way. they dont stop being transphobic just because they are obligated to be polite to my face, by the fucking way.
I don’t like how I’m kinda expected to rewrite the first 20 years of my life just because I’m trans. I was the eldest daughter in a black household. I can’t go back and edit my history to say I was the eldest son, cuz that doesn’t accurately convey the certain standards I was held to. I was the only girl in my engineering class. I can’t leave out the “girl” part. It recontextualizes the entire situation. I don’t think either of those facts invalidates my current gender and I don’t think trans people should be expected to rewrite their own history in fear of that
my parent thinks they know vaccine injury because that have some educated friends I've never met with PHDs that said so. What's really fucking annoying me, other than attempting to manipulate me multiple times, is that they didn't share who these people are or what their credentials were. Just that, they were more informed than me because somebody told them they were good to teach about whatever they learned. why gatekeep the facts then? Why keep it all to yourself handsome? Or are you afraid I'm going to get my hand on a study and find a fucking whole lot of fraud like I have been doing every other fucking tome they give me a little fun fact.
you dont feel like having your beliefs challenged? thats why you dont research other than "100 facts on why vaccines cause brain injury."
You holding the title of parent, mom, or dad is not actually something that makes you inherently more knowledgeable about raising a kid and what's best for them That title just means you're the main guardian, not a magic spell that makes you inherently full of knowledge on how to raise a kid or pick the right thing for them Making the right decisions as a parent is effort and assuming you know better "just because" is reckless.
blocking me right after replying with a "gotcha" is the saddest version of the last word you could exercise.
tumblr user who fucksbones uses slurs to feel tough when theyre wrong asmr. the post *mentioned* age regression and they complained that age regression is pedophilic and blocks anyone who corrects them.
but this person is a terf-defender and scrolling their blog was nothing but cesspit conversations so good fucking riddance lmfao
"girl mom/dad" and "boy mom/dad" is gender roles repackaged into meme format. its the same thing as "girl/boy math." its the same as, "im a girl/boy, so course im going to [stereotype]." its the same as "boys/girls amirite?" its the same fucking heteronormative bullshit thats been shoved down our pipe holes since birth. its barely cute. maybe im dramatic but ive been getting pretty annoyed how often ive been seeing this commentary. talking about how quirky it is to be a girl dad because you play dress up with her or a boy mom because your son makes wiener jokes. its like labeling the gender of the type of play you do with your kids. the mentality in and of itself encourages you to lean into those roles, stereotypes, misconceptions.
to me its really fucking weird in general, idk
if you are stagnant in your mental health journey, go back to therapy.
if you already have a therapist, get a knew one.
if you hate therapists, get some help books, do some shadow work.
if you hate books, watch some youtube.
if you cant find anything on that, find a show or movie.
if that doesnt tickle you, find a podcast.
if you dont like podcasts, get the advice of an old person who seems pretty content in life.
if all else fails, and youre going to hate this, go back to therapy.
try again. keep trying. keep searching. keep looking. sometimes all you can do it cope but thats only going to keep you at surface level at the end of the day. if you wanna dig deeper, you have to hold a shovel. if you wanna understand whats at the bottom, you gotta dive in. you cant look at the hole from the top and speculate how touch the bottom from there.
"idk how to do that." theres a lot of people that found quite a few ways to for you! theres more types of therapy than cbt. everything i mentioned are certain to have at least one resources or suggestion that helps you.
it makes no fucking sense to be worried about getting soooo sick from vaccines but have zero regard for yourself by pushing it through diet fads for the sake "health." it makes no sense to be sketched out about ingredients you can find in the body and then do shit like drink raw milk without blinking.
god couldnt reach me so he gave me emotionally immature parents
anti-vax mother ruined everyones day because she spent a week making herself anxious to reject me to my face. i brought lunch, i took the bus to talk to her about vaccinations (that she knew we were having) and started it by interrupting me with, "I'm not willing to talk."
really fucking sucks she spent the entire conversation dismissing me and telling me how it wasnt fair that i was somehow bombarding her with information she didn't let me speak.
