I've been posting so much today holy moly 😝 anyways HC AND AU IDEA TALK!!
Ok so like, I personally hc that Kokichi is half Chinese, a quarter Japanese, and a quarter Korean. His first language is technically Japanese because that's what he needed to learn to be able to function in Japan, but he knows Mandarin so well that it might as well be his first language. He knows Korean pretty well too, but not as naturally as his Japanese and Mandarin is.
I hc that Shuichi is fully Japanese, but he wanted to learn a foreign language other than English, so he decided to learn Mandarin.
Cue my favorite saiouma hc of mine:
Mandarin is Shuichi and Kokichi's private language.
And I love imagining scenarios where Kokichi finds out that Shuichi speaks Mandarin.
Like, Shuichi grumbles something in Mandarin that wouldn't be as socially acceptable if he said it in Japanese where everyone could understand it, and he thinks no one understands it, but Kokichi is looking at him in shock and goes, "What'd you say??"
And they both just stare at eachother until Kokichi speaks in Mandarin, "I heard what you said Shuichi".
And then they talk to each other in Mandarin when they're not alone and they wanna talk about things that they usually wouldn't in front if a group (Like if they wanna go out to eat, or a video they sent each other the other night, or just an inside joke/story).
Eventually Kiibo DOES catch on, but it takes so fucking long that Saiouma notices Kiibo is trying to figure out what they're saying lmfao, so then they switch to the language Shuichi has been actively learning, and one that Kokichi already knew, Tagalog LMFAO.
I need help finding the owner of this oc, because I had this drawing in my drafts for like a year or two, and didn't have the reference so I just finished it on what I remembered from the single image I know I used as a reference.
Faekin, or i guess anyone who really knows their stuff about fae and the like. When stealing names, is it significant whether the owner of the name actually feels any sort of attachment to the name?
Because I don’t feel like I identify with any of the names I’ve worn, and that I will ever. It simply feels like I have no name. But alas, I go by and have gone by quite a few names in my time. Thing being that I don’t really see them as anything more than something for people to signify me or get my attention.
