Had to explain (again) to my mother (I love her) that I am not pursuing jobs in Orlando (other half of my industry) despite being unemployed because I would get arrested (or shot). Between my industry culture (liberal), and the fact that it'd be corporate (workplace censorship), I believe I could keep my mouth shut while at work in an office. Her argument is that I'm a homebody (true) so I wouldn't be out in the general melange of Florida for social reasons (also true). She acknowledged that I would have (many) republican representatives at many levels of government (unavoidable) but said I should just leave it alone. She has forgotten (and I downplay) my level of engagement when I am a constituent of any republicans (I moved). She thinks I simply should not (morally wrong), could not (nope), and would not (sometimes health nerfs me) go where there is danger (existing in public) despite looking like a conservative passing (unless they find this account) business casual (lots of blazers) white lady, who can hurt the optics of authoritarian lies (by getting shot or beaten on camera).
Mother, I love you, but with all respect and sincerity, No, I'm not moving to Florida. My mute button is barely enough while in LA.
