Dandannyboy = kinda silly guy
he is apart of HBG and is a top to average hero. His powers would be amplifying pain where the target is more sensitive to pain. E.g., if the target is hungry, they will feel a sharp pang of hunger. Low-key that’s all he does (he isn’t power reliant) but he can do hand to hand combat!! He’s a pretty decent support. The effects can be used every 3h and basically serve as distraction.
he’s also acquainted with Rannik, Osh and Hax specifically (Chungus Champs!!) Basically they stumbled into each other in a dark alley and decided to share hero/ villain information exclusively with each other (like a corny cartoon) for benefits but the information is really not exclusive at all. Like Danny once shared that Couriway’s wings were biological (public information). Something along those lines idk :3
idk I’m hungry when I watch him play.

It doesn't matter what day it is, what year, what I'm doing or what I should be doing, I can and will end up watching Kitchen Nightmares.
Writing? Nah, gotta see a chef claim his frozen fish is the freshest in the region.
Writing Fiction and Antiques Roadshow
Writers’ brains are attics. Stay with me in this analogy. Just... hang in there.
We don’t know until we’re staring at the clutter, that any of it may have any value. We look at the unfathomable mess and say “I wish I could just light this house on fire.” But, at some point, before sloshing kerosene on the floorboards, we take a picture and send it to a friend, because we don’t even know where to start. And they don’t encourage us to strike the match. They ask about the picture.
“What IS that thing?” “Oh, just something my mom gave me. She got it from her mom. I guess it’s been in the family for a long time.” “It’s TERRIFYING... can you send me a close-up?” “Uh... Yeah, I guess.” “Holy shit, where did you get THAT?” “Oh, an ex left it. It’s pretty fucked up.” “It is... but it’s also HOT.” “What?!” “Yeah. Totally. Can you send me a pic from another angle?” “Huh. Yeah, sure.” “What’s under that sheet in the back?” “Oh, God. No.” “I’m coming over.” “Oh, God. Fine.” “I’m taking the sheet off.” “I take no responsibility-” “It’s... me. But... not me. I love it. Can I keep it?” “Huh. Okay.”
And this just keeps going until we’re polishing these weird, problematic things and intentionally arranging them. We get compliments on the things we aren’t supposed to own. We get requests to see them.
The attic becomes a museum, and there’s a line to get in, and the thought of clean, empty floorboards upstairs is disgusting.
does anyone else feel weird about posting a story under 1k to ao3?
like ‘this isn’t enough of a story to bother posting’
even if it’s like, entirely self contained and works and you like it
what is **that scene** for To Lie Beside Each Other?
Ooooh... definitely the “consummating the marriage” scene in the first chapter. In its earliest form when it was going to be a far less angsty one shot, I was just really compelled by the idea of putting them in that situation.
As I thought through the background of that scene and the events that would lead up to it, the story obviously went in another direction. Once I fleshed out the characters and what their trajectories of growth would be, I had a few more “key scenes” come to mind, such as: him saying something really brash and immature to her, turning the tables so that she’s have the opportunity to throw it back at him, and... some more that are too spoilery for now.
Thank you for the ask!!! 🖤🖤
My characters in my head: He is gentle but has to be strong, always puts others first but is deeply in love.(Other character) He is so intelligent but socially inept, he seems villainous by forcing his affections on others but goes through a deep period of growth that changes him for the better because he too is in love!
