Children's Professional School
(Cornell Capa. 1950)
It’s opening week and the todo list is two pages long
I'm interviewing prospective students today! Very exciting and good luck haha
At my last interview I realized I had really good answers for things never asked so What questions do you guys wish the interviewers would have asked you?
I know I fell off the face of the earth But medical/pharmacy school is so overwhelming This is what my day is composed of, minus the hour a day I give to the gym I love it, but my social life is gone
July 29, 2017
I guess I should give a quick update. I finished my first week of medical school and wow there is so much information to comprehend. It’s easy, but there is so much that I literally spend hours pouring over it so med school is no joke. I have been talking to different recruiters about the President’s tweet and that it does not enact a ban without going through the proper policies to do so. I am still worried because if I do decide to accept this scholarship, I could be discriminated against and that is no fun. I also have an option of applying through the Army if the Air Force ends up denying me. I have no idea what to do as of now, but am sitting on it. I want to make sure my family, friends, and girlfriend are okay with my decision and see all available options. I went to a club involvement fair yesterday to learn about clubs the medical school has. I signed up for things like SOMA, military medicine, emergency medicine, OPP academy, and a family physician table. I also got involved with a study group that I will be meeting today to study for our first quiz that is on Monday. The classes we have had so far are histology, embryology, and one day of OPP lecture. I am staying motivated because this is the true future I want.

Running confidence booster
So after seeing that my pharmacy school is hosting a 5k August 5th, about 2 weeks ago I decided to start training and having something to work for. Coming back from my Achilles tear has been super frustrating, and the paces I've been running have been discouraging and I was starting to get nervous that I wouldn't be able to race at a decent pace ever again and become some washed-up distance runner. I skipped a tempo last week due to stress and not eating right and kept the week to mostly Aqua running & lap swimming. However yesterday I decided even though it was 90+ degrees to venture to the track and do one of my favorite workouts 3(3x300) at what I thought was an achievable goal pace of 70. Little did I expect I was able to chip down from 69 to 64 over the 3 sets. I never would have expected that and I never thought I'd feel as strong doing it. My Achilles held up and only is a little tight today. Which I adequately planned a cross training day anyway since I kinda expected the worst. So hopefully I can run sub 23 right now? My god I can't believe I still want to put my body through this training shit again. LOL I HATE ME.
