Charles and Peter Headcanon time! Aka Peter's step-father/mother hen/person who actually cares for him
I think Charles would find Peter to be quite refreshing. Since, Charles is a telepath and Peter's thoughts move so quickly that he may not be able to read them unless Peter consciously slows his mind down. In way Peter's mind becomes like white or ambient noise; all Charles has to deal with is his emotions. To some extent people know what the other person is feeling.
All of this makes Erik very very happy that his son and Charles are bonding.
