Following this little tidbit I wrote after seeing a Professor!John/student!Sherlock AU gif, I got a couple requests to continue. So hear you go...

Holmes was there, waiting outside of his flat, when John got home. John looked at him for a minute, thought about getting angry, and decided that he was just grateful that Holmes was waiting outside. "Do I want to know how you found me?" he asked, unlocking the door. "Only I'm pretty sure I didn't put my address into your phone."

"You were easy to find," Holmes said, following John inside. His eyes flicked rapidly around the room, taking in everything. He added, "You once mentioned you were going to run home between classes to change. You're fastidious about being on time, you rarely take cabs and never the underground, so you live within fifteen minutes walking distance. When you have coffee in the morning your cup is consistently from the same cafe, but you wouldn't go out of your way - so it's on your way." He shrugged, trailed one finger across the back of the soda. "That narrowed it down a fair amount. Your coat -"

"Oh my god, enough," John said. He set his case down and shucked off his coat. "You're brilliant, I get it."

"Yet you're almost failing me," said Holmes.

"I said you're brilliant, I didn't say you were a good student. You never hand in work, you don't participate in class at all - and that's when you bother to show up. If you weren't doing so well on tests, you would be failing."

"It's all so boring."

"Boring or not, Holmes, that's what university is for." John turned, intending to put the kettle on. He didn't get that far. In three long steps, Holmes crossed the room and put a hand on his shoulder.

The kiss was not unexpected, but it was harsh, biting, angry. John breathed out around desperation and let his hands come to rest on skinny hips. It was a new experience to tilt his head so far up instead of down, and it helped when Holmes slumped against him. He took control of the kiss then, coaxing a stubborn mouth open with his tongue.

"I thought you were going to help with the material," John muttered between kisses, tracing that full bottom lip. Holmes tasted like the coffee John drank every morning. He didn't know whether to be amused or not.

"I am," Holmes said. He slid to his knees and John stared down at him, and Holmes smirked. "You're trying to give me incentive to do better, right?"

"This isn't really what I had in mind," John said faintly, because this was the ultimate fantasy of every person who had ever had to teach Sherlock Holmes anything: Holmes on his knees, willing and able, and asking. John's mouth was dry. He couldn't resist palming a hand through the rumpled curls, just to see what they felt like.

Holmes took that as permission.
