The Best Progressive Dinner Combination on the Atlanta Beltline
A-town, Hotlanta, The New York of the South, whatever you want to call it, Atlanta is known for its Southern charm, breathtaking views, rich cultural heritage, and diversity of people and food. Home to many amazing restaurants, it can be difficult to decide where to eat on a night out in the city. But why pick just one place when you can have it all? A progressive dinner, where each course occurs at a different restaurant, is a win-win; the perfect way to get a variety of unique Atlanta restaurant experiences and yummy eats all in one night.
After much consideration and exhaustive research (aka eating our way through Atlanta), we have decided on the ultimate progressive dinner combination. To make things more efficient, we decided to do it all on the Atlanta Beltline, an outdoor path through the heart of the city.
For starters: Salmon Chips at TWO urban licks
We had to start off right with salmon chips at TWO urban licks. These are a must-try: a thick bed of perfectly smoked salmon, salty capers, and crisp red onions piled heavily atop a large house-made potato chip. Speaking from experience, once you taste these unique, mouthwatering chips, you will never go a day without craving them again. Combined with TWO’s vibrant and mysterious atmosphere, this savory snack is an unforgettable experience from the moment you sink your teeth into the soft smoked salmon all the way to the end with a delightful potato chip crunch.
Drinks: Beer at New Realm Brewing
A progressive dinner is a celebration, so of course we had to enjoy a couple of brews. Cheers to New Realm Brewing, a self-proclaimed “brewhouse meets modern dining” experience. The view from their rooftop patio was incredible, but their beer was even better. The service included specialized suggestions according to each of our individual palettes, which resulted in pleasantly surprising new beer experiences all around.

Entree: Nina & Rafi’s Detroit Style Margherita Pizza
Since there are so many courses to a progressive dinner, we decided it was best to go with a shareable option for the entree. This led us to Nina & Rafi’s, where we chose their Detroit Style Margherita Pizza. The firm yet soft, thick but fluffy crust was encased in a deliciously burnt cheesy exterior. Loaded with rich marinara, house-made mozzarella, fresh basil, and just the right touch of garlic, the classic margherita style toppings paired perfectly with the caramelized cheese coating and deep-dish crust.

Dessert: last but not least, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams!
Jeni’s ice cream is nothing short of the word heavenly. Seriously. The creamy texture is smoother than imaginable, with flavors that are bright, bold, and of course, deliciously sweet. Whether you choose a classic chocolate, the surprising brambleberry crisp, or any of their other incredible scoops, the insanely rich flavors swirl through every taste bud in your mouth, creating a fully decadent experience.
