Personal Update and incidentally also a

Progress Report (3rd Nov)

i'm SO SORRY that i tumbled over the edge of the earth and haven't been seen since, but RL has been ridiculous lately and my Muse was MIA.

BUT things are finally looking up again. RL is back under control and my Muse has finally deigned me with her presence once more - so i'm grudgingly going somewhere again XD.

i know it's not the new year yet, but i'm returning with several resolutions, the most important one being that i want to be more organised about my writing - and also more consistent. i've been meaning to do these Progress Reports properly for ages, but then it just never happened. mostly i was reluctant bc i didn't want to spam ppl with my inane updates, but this is actually a good way of keeping the few very lovely, very loyal ppl in the loop that are actually interested in my scribbles. also, it's a surprisingly effective method of pushing myself a little and getting more organised, so there XD.

furthermore, i've got some bad news, so let's get them out of the way first, shall we?

i'm no longer an active member of the Les Mis fandom - BUT, before you panic, i want to assure you that that doesn't mean that i won't write for it anymore. there's WIPs that need finishing, including some stuff that's been rotting away on my hard drive and that i want to get out there at some point. basically it just means that i won't be reading fics and probably only rarely reblog posts from that fandom, so i just wanted to give you a heads up. mostly i'm back to Johnlock now and some Merthur on the side.

another regretful announcement is that i have to put You and I go hard on official hiatus. i'm not sure when or if i'll be able to add more to it - at the moment it's looking rather unlikely. same goes for my vampire!AU. i've considered simply taking away the 'series' status and turning it into a normal, complete one-shot - we'll see...

okay, onwards with the show!

oh, and i should also mention at this point that i'm doing NaNoWriMo this month, so everything that isn't my novel will prb move pretty slowly until Dec.

“Enjolras,” the furious whisper was barely enough to penetrate the haze of sleep. “Enjolras.”

There was an insistent shake of his shoulder, the warm touch leaving a trail of fire and making the owner immediately clear.

Enjolras blinked open his eyes. The light of a single candle illuminated Grantaire’s tense features, his eyes strangely dark so cast in shadow.

“‘Aire?” asked Enjolras confusedly, sleep still clinging heavily to his mind and turning his voice husky, the first syllable of Grantaire’s name lost somewhere along the way to his mouth.

“Get up,” said Grantaire urgently, his hand trailing briefly from Enjolras’ shoulder to his arm and releasing him with a gentle squeeze. “We must leave at once.”

Enjolras frowned, though he rose without further prompting, watching as Grantaire hastily started collecting their few belongings and carelessly throwing them into their bags.

“Whatever is the matter?” asked Enjolras, reaching for his boots and quickly sliding into them. “What happened?”

“Four alphas of the Queen’s guard,” said Grantaire as he strapped his sword to his waist. “They rented rooms here for the night.”

There’s a rustling sound as he shifts the file in his grip, tilting it slightly to keep the barely fixed contents from sliding out onto shiny tiles. The print is small and he skims it only briefly, before his eyes flicker to the black-and-white picture of a man with cheekbones as dramatic as his dark Belstaff coat.

The man is stunning, breathtaking even in this colourless snapshot. He doesn’t let himself react to the sight, merely lifts his eyes back up.

“My next target?” his voice is mild in the stillness of the room.

Jim snorts, his lips stretching into a wide smile that leaves his dark eyes bright with familiar insanity.

“Don’t be obvious,” Jim says, the smile suddenly flattening out into something sharper, more annoyed. “It’s tedious.”

His brows twitch slightly. “So you don’t want me to kill him?”

Jim rolls his eyes. “Please. He’ll be dead soon enough. But we’re doing this my way.”

Progress Report #2

Since my last progress report certain things have happened. My life is slowly, but surely comming together. I had a group interview today at Chipotle, and i must say that it went pretty good. I've never gone in to an interview feeling nervous at first, but then once the manager starting talking to us, it was like all of my nerves disappeared. I felt comfortable and at ease because i knew that this was an environment in which it was okay to be yourself. Usually group interviews are intimidating, but at Chipotle they run things differently and thats why i know that i would love to be apart of the Chipotle family. SCHOOL! SCHOOL! SCHOOL! Fall Semester is starting up soon and i am beyond excited to be going back to school after three years. Counting down the days until August 25th is at my doorstep! It's been so long, and i can finally get this show on the road! Once you've hit rock bottom there's no where to go but up. I'm learning how to focus on the positive, and not dwell on the negative. So far i'm doing a pretty amazing job at it, if i do say so myself. I've also been meeting a lot of "new people", and it's seriously like a breath of fresh air. I'm starting to realize that it's such a big and beautiful world out there, and there is so much to see. There are so many people in the world to meet and connect with that it blows my mind that we feel the need to just stay in one place our whole lives. Current situation. When you start to feel something for someone and you think there might be something there, you start to over analyze the whole thing. What ii've come to understand is that one heartbreak, one guy/girl, one "almost is never enough", isn't the end of the world. If you were always second choice to that special someone then they definitley aren't worth the time and heart ache. MOVE ON! Hahahah.. Don't go looking for a relationship. Focus on you and becoming the amazing person you were meant to be, and the right person will come along when the time is right.
