that fact that i had to vote on my own bodily autonomy was nauseating enough, but the fact that MEN also get to vote on my bodily autonomy? you’re joking, america.

me when i see anyone bitching about legalized abortion
For anyone curious about Proposal 3 (“Reproductive Freedom for All Amendment”) on Michigan’s November ballot, I’m here to get you started*. In summary, it seeks to amend the Michigan constitution and, by painting with alarmingly broad, vague strokes, to repeal up to 47 current laws. Affected laws include:
The ban on taxpayer funding of abortions
Laws requiring parental consent and informed consent -- which allows for children to get abortions and undergo sterilization without their parents even knowing
Laws requiring abortion clinics to pass health and safety inspections
This proposal removes all limits on abortions and allows abortion up to partial-birth abortions, for any reason whatsoever, prescribed by any “medical care professional” at all (meaning dentists, optometrists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists can prescribe abortions). It opens the door to prevent investigations of infanticide; to allow parents and doctors to abandon disabled infants to die instead of providing life-saving treatments; and it “makes consent the only legal limit” (from the wording breakdown linked below).
All under the guise of allowing women to murder their children.

People bitching about prop 3 sound dumb because "wahhh kids can get abortions without parental consent boo :(" how tf would they do it without them knowing like hoe you want yo 13 year old to give birth??? if she tried to adopt then she would be denied but you're denying her an abortion???
anyways we won, republicans can go cry now :)

If you live in Michigan, educate yourself on the proposals on November's ballot. Read the fine print. Vote "No" to Proposal 3.
actually now that the election is over there's something that i can find some joy in
some jackass put up a "no on 3" sign in one of the lawns in my apartment complex. prop 3 was a referendum item on the missouri ballot this election in favor of overturning the state's abortion ban.
i don't even live in MO. i live in kansas. the same kansas where abortion has remained protected in the state constitution since our own referendum in 2022. so like. KS residents can't even vote on prop 3. and if they could, based on the 2022 election results, they would have voted in favor of repealing the ban.
i'm happy to announce that prop 3 passed last night and abortion rights are now protected by the missouri state constitution as well. so, suck it idiot who put up a "no on 3" sign in an apartment complex in johnson county, KS of all places.
Mayor Todd Gloria, Sen. Toni Atkins and Assemblymember Chris Ward joined LGBTQ+ activists Tuesday at San Diego's LGBT Community Center to endorse Proposition 3, also known as the Freedom to Marry ballot measure
excited that the vote yesterday resulted in:
Solidified reproductive protections
