Alright, as promised here are the props I was talking about!! I meant to post them the day preseason started, oops lol! I also included some of my sketches in case anyone was curious about my process.

They are purposely low poly and untextued! I do hope to work on them in the future, so I'll hopefully remember to repost them when they are truly finished. For now, I hope you guys enjoy these! :) And when I do texture them, it will probably be Bruins themed lol

A while back my sister @sheliesshattered sent me @alefvernon's concept art of ten swords inspired by the (at the time) ten albums of Taylor Swift. It looks like they have since added more swords for the recent double album, but leading up to that I was able to create these 3D models of each of the ten. I'm really pleased with how they all came out.

I modeled them each entirely in Maya as well as doing the UV mapping, which allowed me to create the textures in Substance Painter. I then lit and rendered the scene(s) using Arnold in Maya.

I also have some turntables of each sword, some with some fun animations! (Butterfly wings flapping, fire crackling, the clock hand spinning, that sort of thing) But! Tumblr apparently has a problem with uploading more than one video in a post, so I will be uploading those separately.

Credit to Alef Vernon for these incredible designs; they were done so perfectly it really made it easy (well easier) to create these models.

This was my first experience with environment and prop modeling in Maya during my previous fall quarter at SCAD. The base assignment was to design a fisherman's cabin but as you can see I took it in a different direction. Honestly, I had been replaying Rocksteady's Batman Arkham Asylum and I was really inspired by the aesthetics of the game when coming up with these designs. The idea behind this was a crime scene in a hidden bunker where a mad scientist was doing human experimentation. Eventually one of his "experiments" would end up able to fight back and kill him. Here we see the aftermath...

3December Day 2 - Lamp Post

Feeling festive today! I wasn't really planning on practicing anything specific with this one, but since Unreal decided not to open again I took the chance to play around and learn a little more about rendering with RenderMan. If I weren’t so tired today I’d have tried to figure out how to make the lights glow a bit :/
