Not only do I want more Pro-shoots of Theatre shows, especially musicals, I want dvd copies. Royal Shakespeare Company does some and its like £20+ for a dvd but I have and will spend that amount of money when I am able to because I want a copy I can hold in my hands, take to friends for a watch party and keep forever instead of losing it once the streaming platform decides its no longer worth keeping in their collection.
It's a lot easier to save up for a dvd than for a decent seat plus travel fare to see a live show. I am lucky enough that I can occasionally attend live shows but for people with mobility or sensory issues it can be a nightmare.
Being able to have the time to see a show is also a problem. Shows usually start at 7.30, from where I am thats at least an hours travel time and if I can't get off work it means I am leaving straight from there, getting a bus, then a train, then whatever underground line I need and if I'm very lucky I have time to change clothes and/or eat something beforehand but its unlikely. Physical media is important. Accessibility is important.
Supporting the arts is also important. Give me my pro shoots on dvd.
