New Episode!
A review of the resources currently available to those with prosopagnosia. It's a bit sparse :( Online tests (not to replace an official diagnosis) http://fa...
Two new episodes up!
ProsopAnonymous will be publishing new videos after these messages.
We spoke to people who have it about how they deal.
I was interviewed by Vice along with 3 others! I think the article makes me sound a bit simple, but the important thing is that it is raising awareness. I'm hoping to participate in future articles :)
Life Update
I am halfway through my Master’s degree, and I’m looking into going for my PhD and staying in the UK for the time it would take to earn one. I’m simultaneously home sick and ready to stay here forever, which is a weird feeling.
I am not sure when the next ProsopAnonymous videos will be up seeing as the recordings are back in the states, and I don’t quite have time to record/ edit anyway, though I am trying to find ways to fit it in.
That being said, I decided that I don’t have enough on my plate (completely unfounded, I assure you)- and I just thought “how insane would it be if I…” so I’ve made it my goal to write a book before I finish grad school.
I currently have two novel ideas, but I’m focusing on just the one for now. While the other will have to do with prosopagnosia, my first one won’t, but it does play with the concept of human perception. So here’s my question- do you, as my followers, want to receive book updates along side my ProsoPosts or would you rather I post those elsewhere?
Thank you all for staying with me, despite my recent lack of posts!
Life Update
Hey, all! Sorry I haven’t posted much (read: at all). My life got super busy, as it does: mainly, I started a new job as an Independent Living Skills Councillor… Also, I realised I received huge news about 3 months ago and never really told the internet, so here it goes:
I GOT INTO GRAD SCHOOL!!!! I’ll be going to Bournemouth University in England starting in September for a Master’s in Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology. It’s a year long program, and I’m hoping to work in their facial recognition lab :D
I started this blog the last time I was in England, and as the country has such a large prosopagnosia (and self-aware) population, I’ll probably be ‘reawakening’ it once I’m over there ^^ Either way, I’ll keep you updated on my shenanigans.
My next video is up! I’d love to hear your feedback! ^^ I did the directing and editing myself in this one, so the style might be a bit different.
ProsoPro #7
I have a YouTube channel that I want to be for everyone, but I realise it will likely be most heavily followed by the face blind community. That means, if it ever takes off and I become famous, I’ll never be hounded by my fan base... unless someone makes the mistake of introducing me
