The ban means that classical music will have a big problem! If this ban goes through, bow makers and musicians all around the world will be directly or indirectly punished by that ban.
My father, a professional bow maker, in in an initiative since the year 2000 to regrow and protect Pernambuco wood, working on reforestation in a national park to grow enough Pernambuco trees to use for bow making.
This is the IPCI (International Pernambuco Initiative) who, with the support of string players, have made it possible to replant more than 340,000 trees in Pernambuco to date!
This initiative is actively working to regrow and protect Pernambuco wood and ensuring that classical music is still possible today!
