yknow it’s crazy to think about some things until you have first hand experience yknow.
like when I would go to the zoom support group meetings for my medical condition many of the people talked about the itching. How much they itched how bothersome it was and if anyone had found a good way to stop it.
but yknow when I was first going to those support groups I didn’t really get the prruritus. Like some minor itchy but nothing to write home about I had “bigger” problems
but this past semester after coming off IVIG my rash came back with pruritus and it was Brutal.
like it was genuinely excruciating. Yknow how the pain scale is like a 8 is that my pain is so severe I can’t think of anything else talking and listening are difficult. My itchyness was to That Level.
like I’d walk to class and not hear a single word my professor said I’d just be scratching and at times opening and closing my hands (I have arthralgia) just to feel something other than itchyness even if it was pain.
it was such an excruciating feeling idk how to describe it
looking it up now yeah it makes sense why in the research studies and talking with other people with the disease that they say that the pruritus can be disabling
like I genuinely couldn’t do anything
I never really thought that itching could ever be That Bad yknow

The hateful itch was back
The hateful itch was back
I started this blog in 2013 when I had just discovered the connection between histamine intolerance and menopause. It was a time when I suffered, among many other symptoms, with an invisible itch that made me scratch my arms until they got dark and leathery.
Once I got my body under control the itch went away. It was back for the first time since, on Saturday. I cannot begin to tell you how…
