in honor of the marathon today I thought I’d try drawing a fake screenshot with the twins + my ocs lol (what are they looking at that’s got them so shocked? who knows)

hi i’m ari, i’m 21, and i never fucking learned how to draw backgrounds

yet another discord prompt-related drawing I’m quite proud of! this time it was “old photo”. this is supposed to be taken the day the twins and pryno were first introduced!

surprisingly there was a point where the twins kinda liked pryno’s company instead of seeing him as a nuisance. don’t get me wrong, they still treated him like crap, but when they were first introduced, they were quite excited that they received something that seemed to be just for them and them alone, which they weren’t used to. then at some point in the future the twins learned the real reason why pryno was paired with them and realized that, once again, they had been given “sloppy seconds”. this left them pretty bitter and they ended up distancing themselves from pryno and seeing him more as a nuisance than as anything resembling a friend.

of course, they never told pryno any of this, so from his point of view they just grew distant one day and never went back to normal :’)

this has been a wip for a while now and i’ve finally finished it! might make an updated version with all their names once i come up with names for all of the ocs in this (so far, besides pryno and ekim, pryno’s brothers are named culloch and dratch)

was gonna add a bunch of additional context/info but I’m tired so if anything is confusing/makes you curious feel free to ask I’m always happy to infodump about these funky lil creatures lmao

decided to draw a full body ref for pryno + some doodles showing his dynamic with the twins (no shading cause I’m tired lol)

single-born (wasn’t born with a sibling)

his crystal color is pink

is arranged to be married to the twins, despite single-borns being seen as less desirable/defective

pryno’s father and ozzal are pretty close buds, and made a promise decades ago to marry their first borns to each other. however, since it would raise eyebrows to see the ones next in line to be with a single-born, ozzal compromised and paired pryno with his second-borns instead (the twins)

pryno is older than the twins, but younger than the triplets

single-borns tend to either be extremely needy or extremely antisocial. pryno is the needy kind

unnaturally nice by elbaite standards. this is mainly because his father is the nicest an elbaite can naturally be, which means he opted to just shelter pryno away from the world instead of making him deal with the added hardships his life would have had being a single-born

blindly devoted to the twins. the twins aren’t so fond of him. on top of finding pryno annoying and clingy, they don’t really like the idea of receiving “sloppy seconds” from the triplets when ozzal’s original plans didn’t work out

that said, they mainly tolerate him because a) pryno’s one of the few people who can stand to be around them, and b) pryno is a master at stroking their egos lol

because of his father’s sheltering, pryno’s kind of naive/gullible and doesn’t really know how the world works

to combat boredom during his formative years, pryno read a lot of engineering/technology books from his father’s study. he likes to tinker around with/”invent” different devices in his free time. he’s... not the best at it, to say the least
