@lucentheart and anyone else looking to get a PS TV for PS Vita otome games, I just remembered something rather important that I forgot to mention about it!
PS TV has 1GB of internal memory only, so if you download games from the PS Store or games need to store data on your console, you may need to get an external memory card - it uses a standard Vita memory card. Most physical copies of games shouldn’t give this issue since the info they need is usually on the card itself, but I thought it’d be nice for people to know.
So to reiterate, what you need for a PS TV to work: - A PS TV, obviously - A TV to hook it up to - A PS3 or PS4 controller. PS4 controller has touch functions if a game requires those. - A PS Vita game - A Vita memory card IF you plan on downloading things; you can hold off on it if you buy physical copies of games (until you start running out of memory due to save files)
That, hopefully, is everything important to know when getting a PS TV.
And please keep in mind that some games may not be compatible. It’s worth investigating if the games you want to play are compatible before you go buy this console, since if they’re not, it’s probably best to invest in an actual PS Vita instead. Wikipedia has a nice list here with an entire column telling you if games are compatible with PS TV or not.
