The Love of the Lynch Mob
Psychological analysis on Quinn (also, I remember someone asking for a Will Smith, will do that soon, I just needed to watch last night’s game):
Quinn comes across as the most guarded of the three brothers, the one who carries the most responsibility and, because of that, the most emotional restraint. As captain, he’s constantly under pressure to lead, perform, and keep his composure, and that bleeds into his personal life too. He doesn’t seem like the type to let many people in easily; relationships probably feel like both a comfort and a risk for him. When he’s dating, he’s serious about it, but once it ends, he struggles to fully process the emotions, choosing distraction over vulnerability.
His history, from having public relationships to being spotted on a dating app, shows someone who wants connection but on his own terms. He craves closeness, but only when it fits into the careful structure of his life. That’s common for people who feel they always have to be “on,” responsible, or perfect. Quinn likely uses dating apps or social media interactions as a way to regain control over something that feels safer than emotional openness, he can flirt, test interest, and back off before things get too real.
The pattern after his breakup with Olivia (unfollowing, following, meeting up, unfollowing again) reads like someone trying to fill a void, not necessarily through genuine connection, but through distraction and validation. It’s a quiet form of restlessness, a way of saying, “I’m fine,” when he’s really not. Breakups hit him hard, but instead of breaking down, he numbs himself through routine, work, and surface-level attention.
It’s almost like he wants a girlfriend but not the relationship. He wants the comfort, affection, and emotional safety of having someone, but not the vulnerability, compromise, and messiness that come with real commitment. Quinn craves connection, but he wants it to fit neatly into his world, under his control. Love, however, doesn’t work that way, and that’s where he struggles most. He doesn’t mean to hurt people; he just doesn’t know how to balance his need for independence with his longing for closeness.
Despite all that, Quinn seems like he’d be a deeply loyal and protective partner when he’s emotionally invested. He’s likely introspective, patient, and gentle in relationships, but that same sensitivity can make him hesitant to try again after getting hurt. He’s not necessarily a player, just someone who doesn’t quite know how to sit with loneliness. The captain persona makes it harder for him to let others see that softer, uncertain side.
In short, Quinn’s the kind of guy who feels deeply but hides it well. He wants stability and emotional connection, but struggles to find it in a world that expects him to always be composed and in control. So he flirts, follows, unfollows, not because he’s careless, but because he’s searching for something real without quite knowing how to get there.
“Quinn craves connection, but he wants it to fit neatly into his world, under his control. Love, however, doesn’t work that way, and that’s where he struggles most” !!!!!!!
Babe I love this so much thank you ❤️ for anyone who missed out on Luke and Jack I made a ‘psycho analysis’ tag 🎀
Psycho Analysis: Baron "Bear" Bailey
(WARNING! This analysis contains SPOILERS! Also, TRIGGER WARNING: There is a lot of talk about rape! Be aware!)
Curry Barker’s Obsession is an unprecedented smash hit for horror. I mean, horror has been doing exceptionally well as of late what with films like Sinners, Iron Lung, and countless other films receiving rave critical reviews, positive audience reception, and/or lots of money… but Obsession is getting all of that at once. Critics love it, fans love it, and it’s set to earn back 25 times its budget. Made for less than a million bucks and as of now it’s predicted to close its theatrical run with $250 million dollars. It is one of the most profitable films of all time, and it’s well deserved! This is a well-worn story given fantastic presentation and featuring incredible performances from a cast of people who aren’t distractingly famous.
A great horror success like this must of course have a great villain, and boy does this ever have one. No, it isn’t the incredibly creepy version of Nikki brought out by the One Wish Willow that kicks off the plot. The true villain of this story is, in fact, the protagonist Bear. In fact, he might genuinely be one of the single most disgusting and reprehensible characters in recent memory.
auhghgh someone please psychoanalyse the meaning why some enjoy the concept and media of sniperspy, heavymedic, and engie x soldier/helmet party.. I NEED to understand WHY this is appealing and for what people it isnt. I swear i aint a good psychology student cuz im just staring heavily and the only conscious though process is a damn whimper and 'they are neat' TELL ME WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THEM AND WHY DO SOME DONT!?! WHAT IS IT ABOUT IT????
IS IT LIKE.. THE TENSION BETWEEN RIVALS BEING APPEALING AS ITS REBELLIOUS PLUS HOMOSEXUALITY BEING NOW AN EMBRACED PRACTICE BUT SIMILARLY TO OPPONENTS CAN FEEL LIKE IT'S GOING AGAINST SONE SORT OF STANDARD OF CONFORMITY AND PEOPLE WHO ONCE FELT OPRESSED ARE USING IT AS AN EXPRESSION OF THEIR FREEDOM AND DESIRE FOR SUCH?? BUT WHAT IF ITS RED X RED?? AAHFHHS
One gripe that I personally have with the Supernatural fanbase is the people who constantly want to diagnose dean with BPD. It isn't a huge deal, fandom should be fun, and anyone can headcanon whatever they want. I just feel that much of the fandom babies Dean and sees him as a victim; incapable of the abuse which he does in fact perpetuate. NPD is so classically seen as "abusive" whereas BPD is seen as the "victim" when really, both have the capabilities to be abusers or victims. I think that that stereotype is one reason people will not see Dean as a narcissist, because it is immediately connoted with every bad trait that no one wants to admit he has. Though, he does view himself as a narcissist. He even hallucinates being diagnosed with NPD in 5x11 "Sam, Interrupted."
With JWCT s4 coming out November 20th that also means I will be forced to push back the publishing of my ultimate Handler analysis essay to January 2026 because with the release date, that gives me exactly a month to fully digest and dissect the season just in time for winter break where I can ACTUALLY write it all, then will eventually go into 2026, where I am able to publish it 🤗 sorry yall 😭 it’s gonna be my senior year by then so I WILL be a busy woman 🥀🥀🥀
Yall I so desperately need someone to psycho analyze me so I can get confirmation on my self analysis. Please be fucking brutal, I definitely can take it + need the wake up call.
a psychoanalysis of Curly Mouthwashing:
Part 1 of Analyzing Mouthwashing Characters: The Captain. He takes responsibility for Jimmy's actions. this is what leads him to not hold jimmy accountable, I believe. he blames himself. he's already depressed and at the end of his ladder, wishing he was somewhere else, being someone who enjoyed the climb but didn't like the result. and now he's scared to start over somewhere else.
he blames himself for the crash I believe too. even if he knows it's jimmy's fault, he let jimmy make blatant threats and say "he'll fix it" before going into the cockpit.
and with those factors, I believe he certainly takes responsibility for jimmy, but doesn't do anything about it because he's so caught up in trying to fix and redeem everyone and everything and blaming himself to actually do anything. paralyzed from stress and choices that shouldn't even be choices, but obvious answers.
he's trying to be a good person by giving jimmy the benefit of the doubt, and taking responsibility for his part in not protecting Anya, which I believe he feels responsible for due to his responsibility as captain to care for the crew. probably feels like he LET anya get assaulted. and that it was his fault.
the feet in cement metaphor really shines through, huh? standing at the edge. at the top of a ladder.
and ultimately, nothing changed with him being a disabled mess. he still just laid around. doing. nothing.
I don't hate curly. I admire him, actually. but I, as a person, have certain thresholds that seperate my perception on what seperates man and monster. and jimmy crosses that threshold on several standards. a good way to put it is that Curly is responsible, but can't hold anyone accountable. he's terrible with accountability. too focused on the big picture to hold people to scrutiny when it matters.
