Actually since yesterday, Padme has gone up in the rankings so she’s basically level with Han.
The current rankings (total numbers) are:
After the first 95 answers or so, I changed it to deal with a potential split in the outcomes if there were different points given to say: 3 outcomes per answer getting only 1/3 vs 2 outcomes per answer getting 1/2 a point each. So I made sure all the answers had the same amount of options (except the music question).
So every four answer question gives points to two outcomes; as does the first 8 answer question. The song lyric question is the only one with one answer per song, except for the opt out answer, which just gives you a point (or 1/8th of a point?) for each of the characters. So there should be exactly equal chances of getting each outcome, if it was filled in randomly.
However, a lot of these questions are loaded towards popular tropes and ideas, and then I add characters based on my interpretation of them. And because there’s only 10 questions, some people have only three answers for one character, but that’s the largest total they have. So it’s not so accurate, which I will definitely take into consideration (questions to outcome possibilities ratio) if I ever make another of these.
So there’s a couple of reasons I think the quiz skews so heavily towards Kanan Jarrus, and less towards Padme, Qui-Gonn and Jango.
Kanan gets a lot of the “safe” options; he is a very “lawful/neutral good” character, still quite idealistic but ultimately not super ambitious.
Qui-Gon gets a lot of the more manipulative or esoteric options; I see him as quite morally grey, someone who has their own agenda they’re keeping to themselves, and that’s reflected in the answers he gets.
What’s interesting to me is how Anakin became the runner up, and I’ll be honest, I think it’s because Kanan and Anakin have the same answer outcomes in the last two questions. Both Kanan and Anakin are “so tired, let me rest” and “safe and warm with my family”.
Because that is truly what I believe each of them would want, and I think that this lines up with uh. Living through a pandemic in late-stage capitalism. These are post 2020 answers. And they’re also kind of tumblr answers.
I really wish uquiz had stats so I could analyse this data more in depth (like, see how many people chose certain outcome answers.) And like do the thing on other platforms and see how that pans out. ‘:)
