Its fan-like ear frills unfurl when it is excited or enraged, which provide it with enhanced hearing, it loves eating large insects. It is curious but cowardly, and will generally try and make itself look as big as possible when threatened - though it can also spit flaming projectiles when desperate! They can be hatched and ridden in the Monster Hunter Stories games, where they can break rocks with their powerful beaks."
