❤: “What’s the working title?”
Tick Tock (A Retelling of Peter Pan where the crocodile is actually a good guy and Tinkerbell is a genocidal maniac.)
💚: “How long have you been working on it?”
Uuumm...actively working on it? Maybe...three months? But the idea has been in place for well over a year now.
💙: “How has the idea changed between starting it and where it is now?”
Originally it was a very cut and dry with who ended up as an antagonist, but now there’s a little more nuance to why certain characters have done what they did and how the other characters end up responding to it. And some of the relationships have a lot more to them (or a lot less depending on how you want to look at it) than originally planned. I’ve either revamped or removed a bunch of the romantic relationships I originally had planned.
💓: “Is it part of a series or standalone?”
I’m kind of caught between whether to make it a standalone or try and make it a series. Because I feel like I have enough of a plot to need more than one book, but I don’t see having a trilogy. I just haven’t planned that much stuff. If I could get away with two books I’d probably do that, but it almost feels weird only planning two books because trilogies seem to be the norm.
💞: “Which future scene are you looking forward to writing?”
Honestly, there are multiple ones, but out of all of them I’d say there are probably two main ones that I really want to sit down and write but can’t yet. One is the lead up to and death scene of a major player, and I’ve actually gotten a few lines down for that one. The second one is something like a flashback scene for a main character that gives me a lot of feelings when I think about it but I have no idea how to put those feelings into words yet.
