Be More Chill Dead Girl Watching, Jenna on a Bus
"Or you'll be late for the first day at school!"
"Move it slow ass." Jenna groaned as she got out of bed to see a familiar set of six faces staring back at her.
"Ughhhhh, but I don't wanna..."
"Come on!" Brooke tried pulling her out of bed but Jenna just rolled over and covered her head with one of the pillows.
"It's a new day and a new school!" Jake said as he helped Jenna sit up and after wiping the sleep out of her eyes Jenna reluctantly stumbled over to her closet that Rich was leaning against.
"Hopefully this new school isn't as shitty as your last one. If it is we can always set a fire in the girl's bathroom again."
"Rich, I can't get expelled from this school too."
"Just a suggestion." Jenna rolled her eyes as she was about to change into her clothes when there was a knock on the door. Her mother walked in through Jeremy who shivered as he backed away.
"Jenna, thank God you're finally up. You don't wanna to be late to school on your first day!"
"Mom-please I'm trying to get dressed here."
"I just wanted to make sure you were up before I left for work," she bent over kissing her daughter on the cheek before walking back towards the door, "I'll see you when I get off work! Dinner's waiting in the fridge. Oh and-"
"See you later honey. And please, don't talk about ghosts. It's a fresh start that we don't need your active imagination ruining." The door closed as Jenna let out an exasperated noise before she began changing into hey clothes for the day, her ghostly friends looking away as she did so.
"She said as if social media didn't exist," Chloe added as Jenna pulled the purple cardigan over her head. "Jenna you're already screwed."
"You think I don't know that? I'm not even going to know anybody there." As she said that there was a beep from outside letting her know the bus had arrived making her jump. Jenna struggled to grab her bag and put on her shoes as she hopped down the stairs trying hard not to fall flat on her face with Brooke catching her on the final step.
"Purple may totally be your color but you don't need a complimentary black eye." Jenna didn't acknowledge her as she quickly grabbed a poptart before running out the door and just barely catching the bus as it's doors closed behind her. Looking around the bus she saw everyone go silent auction they stared at her. Making her way down the aisle whispers pervaded themselves into her ears.
"-heard she tried to burn down the school-"
Jenna blocked them out by inserting her earbuds as she took the seat farthest in the back away from everyone else as she blasted her music. Her invisible friends nodded along to the movement of the bus as she sunk down in her seat. School was already of to a "great" start.
