honestly i think the selling point of romance for me (and where it usually fails to land) is 'can i imagine these people sharing an in-joke'
like, are they in cahoots. can they laugh together. do they have a similar enough or at least complementary enough outlook that they can connect over something being funny (even if it's funny in a fucked up way! sometimes those are the best in-jokes!)
that's not necessarily true love in and of itself, but it does feel like an essential component to me

"This ad is auto-playing audio" is literally on the drop down menu for reporting an ad. Tumblr isn't trying to implement this! Don't protest this "new policy", cause it's not one.

They are not supposed to automatically redirect you without you clicking them, they are not supposed to cause a pop-up, they are not supposed to freeze your screen.
This is all bugs or malicious advertising which is also against tumblers ad policy. You should report all ads which do this.

There was really no winning that one
even if you do not have money to give, please make eye contact with a homeless person and smile and wish them the best when you pass by or, should you like, pray for them. i check on multiple homeless folks in my community and they tell me, no one will even look at them. None. For days on end. Even though in the USA, they and their friends are being arrested instead of given food and water, they have ICE called on them by "Christians" who have never ever ever donated to the poor, let alone looked at them like a brother. please, if nothing else- could you look at every person you meet and smile and say hello? you don't have to say anything and if you do not like smiling or have a mask on, you can nod. If they're pissed off at you, of course they are!!
Please, even so- treat them as a human being. you will still be doing more than most.
also, never take an animal from a homeless person if you EVER ask a local rescue, ANY local rescue- they will tell you that homeless people care for their pets much more than rich suburban idiots ever do.
I almost constantly am dealing with purebred YOUNG dogs and puppies being dumped out here with nothing. Me and my neighbors constantly have to work with this being rich idiot backyard breeders just dump dogs every single day. The homeless folks I know?
their dogs are their lifeline. they are their life partners.
I'm friends with a few vets- they all agree. Homeless folks' dogs are not only happier and better trained- the homeless people bring their dogs to the vet when rich people would never bother. Even though they couldnt afford it normally, and have to rely on local resources.
If you're so worried about a homeless person's animals... why dont you ask what food they use and buy it for them? We are moving into summer and water saves both homeless folks and their lovely canine companions. Please help them BOTH out!
