- Van is a herding puppy!! He love love lovesssss having a job. If he doesn’t feel like he has a task to work on he starts whining and kicking his paws…if he’s left unsupervised when he’s bored he gets destructive as well.
- Tai gives him all sorts of little jobs. Fetching stuff from other rooms, finding the other yellowjackets, sitting down/rolling over/shaking paws for treats (cookies and berries), etc… Sometimes Tai will even hide treats for him in blankets/couch cushions and he’ll have to use his paws and nose to find them.
- He is a HUGE chewer….poor guys clothes. Poor tai’s clothes. He can’t even have pacis or chewelry because he gnaws right through them. He DOES have some silicone extra-tough dog chews though, and he loves them. It’s him and his little rubber bone against the world :)
- He loves to play!! He’s a very active pup. Tai and the other YJs love playing fetch with him. He runs through the grass all happy, coming back with the ball in his mouth and his tail wagging..
- Being so outdoorsy and active he gets FILTHY. Tai will always insist that he gets cleaned off before he comes back in the house but ohhhh he’s too dirty to even come inside… GUESS THAT MEANS ITS HOSE TIME!!!! He LOVES getting hosed off lol it makes him so happy. Once he’s presentable enough to come inside Tai will give him a full bath, scrubbing him off and washing his hair while telling him what a silly and good boy he is. After his baths, he’s finally tuckered out, collapsing in Tai’s lap while she scratches his head and kisses his forehead.
- He’s a very communicative pup, even though he doesn’t speak! When he’s just starting to regress, he trots up to Tai with a ball, stick, or stuffy in his mouth, asking to play. If he’s upset, he whines or even howls, and when he’s feeling lonely or bored, he starts yipping up a storm.
- He loves playing with other regressors! He and Nat are best puppy buddies, always chasing each other through the woods and wrestling. He also plays nicely with Shauna, kitty!Misty, and even makes friends with some of the littles. One of his “jobs” is to keep an eye on Lottie when she’s feeling little… even though she’s very sensitive and he is very energetic, he does a great job at toning it down. He can often be found nosing his way into her lap, woofing a little until she starts petting him, at which point he breathes a big sigh and relaxes into her.
- When one of his friends or Tai is upset, he brings them one of his stuffies and nestles next to them. He takes his self-appointed job as Emotional Support Dog very seriously. If they don’t take the stuffy or start petting him, he’ll paw at them until they do, because it usually helps them feel better <:)
