#pure bite bitty

Excuse me, is this a place where I can adopt? I've done a lot of research and prep, but haven't adopted a bitty yet because of my nerves. I wanna give em the best home ever, ya know? I just wanted to know... If I could adopt a Pure Bite, if that's possible- if not I'm sorry for the mishap! I can promise a good home! I love reading, art, and listening to podcasts & music! I'm a pretty mellow person, who is pretty understanding & patient. Anyway, I would I love to adopt a Pure Bite as a companion!

*Vex arrives at the shop with a new bitty in tow. She picked up this Pure Bite bitty from a bitty shop that closed down, and now she would need to find him a home. She glances at the little bitty nestled on his pillow in the carrying basket. He slumbers peacefully, looking pretty darn adorable except for the ever-present muzzle that Pure Bites always wore to keep them from accidentally harming others with their razor-sharp teeth and affection nibbles.

*Once Vex is back in her own shop, she grooms the little Pure Bite, bathing him and dressing him in fresh clean clothes. Last of all, she ties a ribbon with a bell on it around his neck. The Pure Bite looks up at her with his red eyes, and she tells him how handsome he is. He’ll find a home in no time. He smiles behind his muzzle, and Vex smiles back.

*You walk into the Lamia Bittybones Adoption Center hoping to get some information on where you can adopt a Pure Bite. You’ve done research, but many shops don’t carry Pure Bites because of the biting risk. You haven’t taken more than a few steps into the shop when you see him: a little Pure Bite bitty holding a flower sitting on the front counter with an “Adopt Me” sign in front of him.

*He’s too precious for words, and when you approach him, he holds the flower up to you, eyes hopeful. The bell on the ribbon around his neck jingles, making you smile. You accept the offered flower and give the Pure Bite some pets on his skull. He purrs happily, leaning into your hand. Vex appears a moment later, and you tell her that you’d be more than happy to take this Pure Bite home with you.

*Vex is relieved. The Pure Bite is ecstatic. And you? You’re feeling like this is the start of something good.

(Oh no, I've fallen for brassberries now ;A; could I add one of those to my last request if you got it/them? Maybe a full size pure bite that had been returned? It was probably a surprise for me at the store to fall for him and she just can't leave him behind. Thank you so much for your time)

Warning: blood, minor injury, stitches

*Even though you have a pretty full house of lamia bittybones, you still enjoy visiting the shop from time to time. You can watch the hatchlings in the nursery, spend some time with Poff and Honey (who love the attention), and even collect some treats or surprises for your lamias back home. There is always something going on at the Lamia Bittybones Adoption Center, and you just like being part of it.

*Today, you spot a new face dashing around the shop, a bitty type that you’ve heard of but never seen before. His red eyelights and stubby tail (which wags excitedly as he runs around the shop) can only belong to a Pure Bite bitty. You watch him for a few moments, drawn in by his joyful personality. He’s also carrying a muffin that’s bigger than he is, so happy to have it that he hasn’t even sat down to take a bite of it yet. You soon discover why.

*The precious little Pure Bite Bitty runs up to you and triumphantly holds up the muffin, offering it to you. He’s giving away his delicious muffin as a gift to someone that he hopes is a potential adopter. There are plenty of customers wandering around the shop, but the Pure Bite bitty has chosen you for his very important gift! He’s too adorable, so you reach down to scritch under his little chin and let him know that he can totally enjoy his muffin and still get adopted (by you of course).

*The Pure Bite bitty purrs from the attention, setting down his muffin to lean into your touch. He’s eager to return the gesture of affection, so he gives your hand a sweet little Pure Bite nibble, not realizing just how sharp and dangerous his teeth can be. You don’t feel any pain at first. You don’t even notice the cut until you see the blood dripping from your hand. Your blood!

*Using their acute sense of smell, Poff and Honey sound the alarm that someone in the shop is hurt, and Vex rushes over to lead you to the Infirmary to have your injury treated. She inspects your hand. It’s a deep cut that will require stitches, but the Nurse Papythons can handle it without much of a problem. They are already slithering over to help as you explain to Vex what happened.

*Vex sighs. “Usually Pure Bites wear a muzzle because their bites are so dangerous. They like to give love nibbles which can result in serious injury,” she tells you. “I took his muzzle off so he could eat his muffin. I’m so sorry.” You wave away the apology with your good hand. The Pure Bite clearly didn’t mean to hurt you. And speaking of the muffin-wielding cutie…

*The little Pure Bite pushes open the door to the Infirmary. His little stub tail is no longer wagging. He tried to put his muzzle back on, but it’s askew on his face and not fastened properly. Tears stream down both of his tiny round cheeks, and he holds up the tear-sodden muffin to you. He must feel terrible for what happened, you think. You accept the muffin, putting it aside and helping him fix his muzzle with your good hand. You murmur to him that everything is ok and that you’re getting all fixed up.

*He nods and begins to shuffle away, but you stop him. “It doesn’t mean I won’t adopt you,” you say softly. “We’ll just have to be more careful in the future, ok?” The Pure Bite bitty’s face brightens and his stub tail resumes it’s energetic wagging. Seeing the expression on the Pure Bite bitty’s face when you sign his adoption papers is worth a few stitches in your hand.

*Shyly shuffles in the doors, my full sized chain following close behind with a box under one arm.* Hey! I dunno if you remember me! But I adopted Angel here a while back, and we made some flower crowns for the bitties! And flower bracelets for those on the larger side! *Smiles. Angel flops over onto the floor and spreads the accessories out so everyone can get the ones they want.* I was also told to ask about the sad little pure bite that needs a home, I have a special crown just for him!

*The flower crowns and bracelets are an instant hit at the shop. Mambas decorate themselves, and Papythons liven up their nests with the beautiful blossoms. Lieutenant Cherry and Belle the Commander make an appearance, sifting through the various crowns and bracelets to find the best ones for the Commander Gang’s nest. A Corny rolls out from underneath the anti-venom fridge, rolls through the crowns and bracelets until he is absolutely covered with flowers, then rolls back under the fridge to deliver the goodies to the other Cornies.

*Vex smiles when you ask about the Pure Bite. He was brought here because his owner was having financial troubles and thought it would be best to rehome him, and a bitty shop is a great place for a very small Pure Bite with a very big heart. It doesn’t take long for him to make an appearance either, running as fast as he can on his short little legs. He stumbles and falls, but leaps right back up to his feet to run to you for his flower crown.

*You carefully place the crown on top of the little Pure Bite’s head. He reaches up to touch one of the flowers, tears in his red eyes. “He really likes flowers. I think he would enjoy gardening,” whispers Vex.  The Pure Bite reaches into his pocket, pulling out a slightly lint-covered chocolate, the last remnant from the presentation gift he gave to his first owner. He presents it to you.

*Angel saves you having to eat the questionable chocolate by accepting the gift on your behalf and popping it into his mouth. He realizes too late that the chocolate was not a chocolate at all but a well-decorated plastic prop. He swallows it anyway, and the Pure Bite does a little happy dance. You can’t help smiling at the adorable little guy. You ask Vex if he has a name. 

*Vex’s smile widens. “Yes,” she says. “His name is Purr. It was originally a play on the word Pure from his bitty type.” Vex crouches down and gives the tiny bitty a gentle rub between the shoulder blades. He immediately lays flat on his tummy on the shop floor, purring like a muscle car motor. “I think it fits him perfectly.”
