So, the black Smith's symbol shows a birch leaf, which symbolise spring and rebirth. So the fact its on fire shows that it's something of a "rise from the ashes" kind of conundrum. Since death doesn't really exist in the ever after, see the red king and the red Prince with the red Prince being the "reincarnation" of the red Prince with one goal. The blacksmith is the person who either forges the goal or forges the idealism that the person wants to follow. They were essentially asking Ruby to put down the scythe and pick up a sword or the axe to become the new penny or the new Summer.

Butterflies typically symbolises rebirth and hope, things like that, the fact that the blacksmith was forging one either means they've got something to do with the reincarnation process or they've going to rejuvenate Ruby's hope in the world.

They also have a striking resemblance to Pyrrha,

Ik we've all been focused on jaune being old and the jackalope but I think there's so much symbolism behind just this scene and Ruby giving away her emblem.

when I finished watch the rwby Vol.3.... I...I was shocked and so sad...why...why..

when i watched vol.1,I had expectived that she will go steady with Jaune.you too right?

AND Next I watched the "RwbyChibi",I was fainted with pleasure "Nothing bad!EVER,HAPPENED!" OH yeah,uh-huh,thats right,there was no bad thing!HAHAHA!
