expanding on the pissa sun and moon motif because qsmp updates and my server enabled me

who’s the sun and who’s the moon depends on who you ask.

missa would say that phil’s the sun. he burns so bright that sometimes he’s hard to look at—hard to be near. he’s brave and compassionate and stubborn to a fault, and sometimes missa worries phil will burn himself up in his desperation to make everything right again. he sees the way phil accidentally hurts others around him in his passion, but he can’t help but want to be near him anyway.

he sees himself as the moon, reflecting phil’s light, a shadow cast across him by phil’s brilliance, which he can’t help but feel he’ll never compare to.

phil thinks missa’s the sun. he’s a bright light in the darkness, the warmth of a gentle spring day when the flowers are just beginning to bud. he’s the sun at its gentlest—calming and enough to melt the frost from the grass. he’s bright in his laughter and warm in his embrace, and phil often wonders if he realizes just how brightly he burns.

phil sees himself as the moon—something cold and weathered, damaged at first glance, craters across his skin from taking hit after hit for others. he wants to reach for missa’s light, but it burns so hot when he’s close, and leaves him so cold when he’s away.
