Thank you for all your support so far!
(Shy Smile)
So a few new followers and thought I'd offer a sheepish... hello! And a small sample of shameless self promotion (enjoying the sibilance of this post): not only do I hit the reblog button seemingly at random, I also dabble in fanfic. You can also find me under Qalets on AO3 Apologies I'm on mobile (as ever). http://archiveofourown.org/works/811099/chapters/1531571

On Blogging
Having created this blog 18 months ago, I spend a great deal of time on here reading but not contributing (excepting that relatively short but extremely productive few months in which I managed to churn out two fics of –in my estimation- reasonable length) and I have recently come to the conclusion that in order to get out the most, I need to put something of myself in. In the time I have had this small electronic log my life has changed qite dramatically. When I signed up I was 27, in London, working in the very centre (Nelson was the witness to a great many of the meetings I conducted and contributed to) and living in the North – close to the leafy Hampstead. I was single, and had been for a number of years, choosing to remain so, dabbling in the shallow end of the internet dating pool rather than throwing myself into deep water that wasn’t going to suit me. Since this time I have met someone, started a relationship, met his family, friends, integrated ourselves into each others lives. I have also changed jobs into something more interesting and closer to the environment that I thrive in, even if it isn’t the perfect embodiment of what I want to do with my life. I am also moving, to cohabit with the same gentleman I have already mentioned and this particular adventure will take me “South of the River” – which any Londoner will know is a transition not often completed or even attempted once a person has settled themselves into the capital. So I’d like to use this more often, to set down my thoughts and my ideas. Rather than ignoring it as something to be hidden and possibly given up as I move toward a more “grown up” life – perhaps I should look at it more as an outlet. Somewhere for thoughts and dreams and ideas. I should put in more to get more out. Something of me. Somewhere out there.
