Weezer just released their 11th studio album Pacific Daydream last Friday (27/10).
As its name, this album is filled with daydreams, nerd stuffs everywhere. Weezer is experimenting with heavy use of acoustic guitars, make this album is out of typical Weezer we used to know. This album is the voice of dreamers, admirers, playing with their imaginations and visions, uttering their minds. Anyway, we pick “QB Blitz”, “Get Right”, and “La Mancha Screwjob” as the top favorite songs. Show us yours !

(This song's Songsterr tab had a number of revisions over the last few years from other users, but it was still mostly incomplete. For my update, I slightly revised the existing 2024 acoustic guitar tab from Songsterr user KanZ and then redid all the other instruments from the ground up.)
"QB Blitz" is the sixth track from Weezer's pop-rocky 2017 LP, Pacific Daydream. Although this song did not stand out to me when compared to the rest of the songs from this album, I still think it follows the Pacific Daydream formula well of having a fun bassline, unique and memorable bridge, and distinct composition. To that latter point, I was surprised at how "vacant" the song's composition is, as the song uses a lot of reverb and synths to fill out its sound, which gives it a floaty, dreamy feel. This subsequently contrasts well with the bridge, which uses power chords on a distorted guitar to give it a much stronger, driving tone.
The Youtube Channel "Weezjer Time" uploaded a no-center-channel edit of this song which really helped with writing this tab, since it made some of the quieter instruments in the song more audible, like the weird bell-instrument sound which plays during the verses (and which I notated as a music box), as well as the extra percussion instruments like shakers and what sounds like a cabasa which play in the background of most of the song.
