"Qinger" - TADC Patchwork AU

Went ahead and rendered that Qinger piece and decided I'd also do a small profile on them.

A patched version of Kinger and Queenie after the latter had already abstracted, the result is Qinger, one of the more stable "Patched" characters as Caine begins to call them within the circus and one that they use as an example that his method works, albeit with some minor imperfections that he believes can be resolved later.

Due to Kinger suffering from mental health related issues and Queenie having spent decades abstracted, while they may have moments of lucidity here and there, the forced combining of their beings has affected them more mentally than other Patched characters.

However, unlike other Patched whose personalities mix and become one with conflicting thoughts, Qinger's personality may shift one way or another depending on their environment. While in a brightly lit environment, the Queenie side is more lucid and in control, while in a moderately dark environment, the Kinger side is more lucid and in control.

Also unlike other Patched, Qinger is a lot calmer with themselves and doesn't suffer from being two people forced into one being as much as the others do.

Pronouns: He/She/They - can depend on which personality is more in control.

TADC Horror AU | Patchwork AU

So, since people seemed a little interested in that Horror TADC AU I thought up, thought I'd at least sketch out the first character idea that came to mind when I was writing out that whole post.

I guess Qinger would be their name, a force combination of Kinger and Queenie. If Kinger had mental health issues before, they've been dialed up a bit after being forcefully merged with his abstracted wife Queenie whose has experienced abstraction and thus in this continuity wouldn't all be there, which only makes things a tad bit worse. Also, since this is a sketch that doesn't more detail, I imagine their robe would be more less a straight half and half of colours and have more like swirls of the two colours, as if they are trying to blend together but can't quite do so.

So, I was also trying to think up a good name for this AU if I was going to work on it here and there, and while Merge and Meld(er) were some good contenders, I happened across the word "Connection" and thought that sounds more fitting given the digital / technical aspect of TADC. Then I learned that "Forced Connection" is an actual IT term that refers to a problem solving technique that involves pairing up two unrelated objects together which sort of fits as everyone in the circus is meant to be their own unique individual and not be forced together into one new entity.

So, for the time being, calling this AU "Forced Connection" since it has layers to it.
