Sooo...i study animal care in college and like..Q Ash shows so many stereotypical behaviors found in animals which have been held in inadequate captivity for long periods of time. Like he literally paces back and forth like a trapped animal.
1) the first trait is pacing back and forth, also known as zoochosis. This is a psychological condition mainly characterized by repetitive behaviors, pacing, head-bobbing, and self-mutilation (like Ash's SH when he is stressed).
2) lashing out. Why do animals lash out? Animals with a history of abuse would lash out as a survival mechanism. They struggle to process complex emotions. Past negative experiences leave them with deeply ingrained fear, they expect to be hurt again. Its why when they encounter a similer experience to their trauma their sympathetic nervous system goes into a explosive "fight" response, they become uncontrollable.
I have a habit of analyzing people like you would with animals, like "as you can see this is a wild human who is experiencing great sorrow. This is a normal behavior after experiencing loss" I find it helps me put things in perspective and Q Ash is quite literally the prime example of an animal who has experienced poor welfare.
